Projects and assignments

One of ARAW’s main objectives is to promote the region among foreign investors to ensure its economic elicitation and create workplaces. Until now, Wrocław Agglomeration has attracted the following investments, some because of our activity: 

3M, Capgemini, Credit Suisse, FagorMastercook, Google, HP, IBM, Irevna, LG, McKinsey & Company, Nokia Siemens Networks, Siemens, Volvo, Whirlpool, Wipro and many others.


Currently we’re running the following projects:

•    construction of markets, shopping precincts and Entrepreneurship Incubator within the Wrocław Centre for Entrepreneurship Support

•    DESIGN ACCELERATOR – an agreement joining design with innovation and product (service) management, stimulating the exchange of information, knowledge and experience between entrepreneurs (local SMC) and designers (local designers, architects, engineers who graduated from Wrocław universities)

•    From trainee to employee – advanced training for students of vocational schools – the project run by ARAW JSC in cooperation with the Centre for Practical Education (Centrum Kształcenia Praktycznego). The venture purports to enhance quality of vocational education in certain technical professions key for regional economic development.

•    I’m able and I can do more – the project co-financed from EU funds within ESF, run together by ARAW and the International School of Logistic and Transport in Wroclaw. The project purports to alter professional qualifications of the employees of Lower Silesian restructured enterprises as well as to prepare them to effectively look for new jobs.

•    Tourist product of the Wroclaw Agglomeration – the project’s objective is to bring closer agglomeration’s communes by creating a cohesive system of information distribution on tourist attractions in the vicinity of Wroclaw.

•    Waste policy project – purports to create a comprehensive system of waste economics for Wroclaw agglomeration. The result will be a waste treatment plant fulfilling EU standards and directives on waste disposal.

•    Cooperation with PAIiIZ (Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency) – participation in economic missions of attracting foreign investors to Wroclaw agglomeration
