The Wrocław based ChallengeRocket, an innovation-driven platform promoting recruitment for IT positions through on-line competitions and tasks, has won the second edition of ABSL StartUp Challenge. The Wrocław based contenders made an appearance at the Polish Tech Day event in Google’s London HQ.

The final of ABSL StartUp Challenge took place in Łódź during the annual conference of the Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL). The winner of this year's edition of the competition is the start-up ChallengeRocket - a platform promoting recruitment for IT positions through on-line competitions and tasks. The users must face up to challenges such as programming a simple game. On the one hand, it is entertainment, on the other hand - an opportunity to showcase their skills. ChallengeRocket has beaten 100 start-ups The path to victory was far from easy - the winner had to outdo over 100 start-ups. Seven of the most interesting projects made it to the final. - The competition has proven that out product appeals to people and that the business sector gives us the green light to keep getting ahead. This prize is a testimony to the fact that we’re headed in the right direction. It’s important because we’re a small, 11-strong team and have been operating for only eight months - says Tomasz Florczak from ChallengeRocket. Barbara Piasek, member of the competition jury, explains that it was not easy to select the best project. The standard of all of the start-ups, which - importantly - proposed solutions in various fields, was high. ChallengeRocket stood out primarily with its innovative approach to the common problem of the business sector: – The start-up offers an opportunity to optimise the time spent seeking new staff. Candidates do the on-line tasks on their own, so the platform makes it possible to reduce recruitment costs. Thirdly, ChallengeRocket uses software developers’ own language to communicate with them. Solving tasks is for IT people both a challenge and good fun.
