About 650 mln zlotych will cost new investments of Toyota company in Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone. Projects will be connected with running the production of hybrid gearboxes and new gas engines. Because of this investment the company pledges to create at least 100 new working places. As for the new investment, manufactory of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland in Wałbrzych will start in 2018 production of gears for hybrid drives. The components will be compatible with the engine of capacity 1.8 l  mounted in every hybrid model of Toyota Auris and Auris Touring Sports in Europe. It will be also used in Toyota C-HR, new crossover, which production will start from the end of this year. Now hybrid systems are made in Toyota’s manufactory in Japan from where they are imported to Europe. Additionally in Wałbrzych manufactory, since 2018 also R&D functions will be realized, which through materials testing will help to locate parts for hybrid gears. Next project is about to run in 2019 production of new gas engines in Toyota Motor Industries Poland manufactory in Jelcz-Laskowice. Currently in this location drives diesel units are produced. Running an assembly line of new, 2-litre oil engine will improve the scope of products designed for cars produced in Europe during the next few years. The company informed also about planning to join two entrepreneurs into one organization, what will be finalized till the end of March 2017. The company’s name will be Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland. As the concern says the cost of the investment for both projects will be about 650 mln zlotych.
