This year, runners will take part in Wrocław Business Run for the third time

This year, runners will take part in the third edition of Wrocław Business Run. Apart from sporting rivalry, they will have the noble aim of raising funds - all proceeds from the event, just like in previous years, will go to the needy. First and foremost, companies and organisations from Wrocław have been invited to the run. Those which have already confirmed their participation include Brand24, UBS Business Solutions Poland, Unit4, HPE, and Capgemini. Corporate relay runners will compete with each other on September 3 at Wrocław’s Pergola, where a new, specially prepared route has been prepared for the 5 x 3.8 km relay. Last year, 1,500 runners took part in Wrocław Business Run, making it possible to raise 93,720 PLN for people with disabilities involving impaired mobility. The funds will this year be spent on, among other things, a prosthesis for Katarzyna Sobczak, a student of the Academy of Physical Education who lost her leg as a result of malignant cancer. Despite her condition, Katarzyna is still successful in the domain of sports. She trains swimming every day and has won many medals at championships held in Poland and other countries in Europe and outside the old continent. Sadly, the problem of amputation is often experienced by children. Three boys, the thirteen-year-old Michał Głowacki, the seven-year-old Maksymilian Piwowwarski, and the five-year-old Mateusz Donocik, will also receive support. The funds raised will make it possible to purchase prostheses and finance rehabilitation, enabling the boys to function normally and go to school. The time for entering a team to participate in the competition is running out, as one can sign up only by August 11. It is the last opportunity to join the charity relay for the beneficiaries of the Poland Business Run Foundation. To take part in the run, one must register their team on the website www.wroclawbusinessrun.pl and pay the fee of 378 PLN gross for the team.
