3M Global Service Center Poland was announced as “Top US SSC Investor in Poland” during USA-Europe Shared Services Summit & Awards Gala – held in New York.
The 3M Global Service Center(GSC) in Wroclaw was created as a key element of the Business Transformation strategy and was the first organizationally distinct service center facility at 3M.
GSC was awarded for its high-performance operating model and delivery excellence.
Rafał Olejniczak, General Manager of 3M Global Service Center Poland, received a special statuette during the event called “USA-Europe Shared Services Summit & Awards Gala” in New York.
Nearly 130 top executives from 67 companies attended, from more than 21 countries.
In many cases, they were experts from the most recognized American enterprises.
– We organize this annual event both to distinguish top US investors and as a platform to connect US mid-cap companies with their American peers who have already established shared service operations in Central Eastern Europe – said CEE Business Media CEO Thom Barnhardt.
For the 3M Global Service Center Poland, this distinction is like a gift for the third birthday. Recently, the center celebrated its third anniversary in Wrocław.
– Wroclaw from the beginning was a special place for me and today I know that it is the best that could have been chosen for this investment. Two years ago, when we opened our headquarters at Dubois, I said that Wrocław has become the European capital of 3M. And is still stands. – says Rafał Olejniczak, General Director of 3M Global Service Center Poland.
During the birthday, the GSC team took part in 3-day celebrations which included, among others, the beating of the Guinness Record for the world’s largest coin logo, an interactive game about 3M and the center itself, as well as the official celebrations in Topacz Castle.
