Poland Means Innovation

The industrial fair Hannover Messe has been held for the seventieth time. The number seventy was lucky for Poland as this time it was our country that was chosen to be partner to the event. “Smart means Poland” is the motto of the Polish stand at the 70th Hannover Messe 2017. About 6,500 exhibitors, including 200 companies from our country located not only at our national stand but also at the SciTech Poland stand, make Hannover Messe a real treat for people interested in observing the development of Polish technology. Local and global at the same time The exhibitors included start-ups well-known on the Wrocław market, such as: Saule Technologies and Nanores as well as bigger enterprises, which marked their presence in Wrocław with the innovative character of their operations - 3M, 3YOURMIND and Balluff, among others. The SciTech Poland stand, dedicated to Polish science, showcased Wrocław University of Science and Technology and Wrocław Research Centre EIT+. Innovation-driven development is not only enterprises but also business environment institutions. Thanks to the partnership with Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone, Invest in Wroclaw was able to promote Lower Silesia as a place open to future investors. Additionally, there was a pre-release presentation of the “Driven by Knowledge” publication - an indispensable guidebook for everybody intent on investing in the area of Wrocław agglomeration. The future is now The Hannover fair offers 24 exhibition halls and a wide range of themed pavilions divided into 13 areas dedicated to important issues such as important as energy, industrial automatics or the digital factory. This year, the world’s most important industrial event was organised under the banner of “Integrated Industry – Creating Value”. Well-known global brands tried to outdo one another presenting their solutions - from a humanoid robot applying artificial intelligence and natural language processing for interaction with humans all the way through to VR technology and MindSphere - an open cloud-based operating system IoT developed by Siemens that makes it possible to connect a physical infrastructure to the digital world. There was also plenty of interesting lectures delivered by representatives of brands such as IBM or Accenture, presenting the future of cooperation between devices that looked like the most futuristic science-fiction cinema.
