Universities and students











Beside Warsaw, Cracow and Poznan Wroclaw is one of the largest academic centres in Poland. The city alone hosts more than 122 thousand students, who attend 24 higher education institutions. In respect to the number of students, Wroclaw comes after Warsaw and Krakow but surpasses such educational centres as: Poznan, Lodz, Gdansk and Lublin. In 2014, more than 32 thousand students graduated from higher education schools operating in Wroclaw.

The largest univesities in the region are: Wroclaw University of Technology (34 000 students) and University of Wroclaw (26 000 students). These universities offer the most range of fields of study and specializations.

Wroclaw universities in the national rankings of higher education     

Wroclaw higher education schools enjoy ever-greater renown, both among students and employers. In the rankings of Perspektywy and Polityka, University of Wroclaw and Wroclaw University of Technology ranked in the top 15 Polish universities.
