Representatives of KGHM Cuprum and the Wrocław Research Centre EIT+ have signed a letter of intent with respect to future cooperation. It may help KGHM Group strengthen among global leaders of the mining industry, while EIT+ could benefit by tapping on its modern research infrastructure. - The current compact is something more than just signing a letter of intent. We have already started two joint projects and are talking about more of them to come - assured KGHM Cuprum President Piotr Dytko - Together we make up a research and development ecosystem, as the synergy between the potential of EIT+ and what KGHM Cuprum offers is important to us. Thanks to this cooperation, we combine the potential of 32 laboratories and over 200 researchers - stressed Dytko. Mateusz Wilczyński, Vice President of Wrocław Research Centre EIT+, can, too, see benefits of the cooperation.  - this compact is considerably widening the offering of specialist laboratory services in Lower Silesia for all our business partners. It particularly concerns mineralogical analyses using advanced analysis techniques - explained Wilczyński. - The joint project of EIT+ and KGHM goes beyond a single season. Also as the Ministry of Development, we’re working towards the creation of architecture that will last for centuries - said Jadwiga Emilewicz. - This agreement is proof that Polish weaknesses, such as the conviction that it’s absolutely necessary to own something, are overcome. At KGHM, they rightly decided that it was a better idea to use EIT+’s existing laboratories than to build new ones. We have high expectations of this cooperation and promise all possible support - she declared. Piotr Dardziński: - The cooperation between WCB EIT+ and KGHM Cuprum is an opportunity to build a research centre with a global potential and properly tap on the enormous capacity of KGHM Group and Wrocław’s scientific milieu. Moreover, this compact starts a new chapter in the history of WCB EIT+.
