A new production facility is now under development within Legnica's Special Economic Zone, in the subzone of Środa Śląska – Komorniki. The investor is the company WEGA Polska operating on the plastics processing market. WEGA Polska was founded in June 2013. Almost 90 per cent of the stake in the enterprise is owned by the Italian company Wegaplast S.A., which has been operating on the market of plastics processing since 1952. Currently, the company runs a production facility in Jelenia Góra. The production facility's key operation involves the manufacture and assembly of plastic components, while Wega Polska's clients include chiefly buyers hailing from the household appliances and automotive markets, both Polish and foreign. Importantly, the new investor has an ISO 9001:2008 certificate ensuring the highest standard of quality management in the organisation. According to WEGA Polska estimates, the initial value of the investment in the new facility in Środa Śląska over the period 2016-2017 amounts to more than 2.5 million EUR. A production shed (2,000 sq m), warehouses (1,500 sq m) and offices (500 sq m) are to be completed and start operation   before May 2017. WEGA Polska Sp. z o. o. is the third Italian company to invest in Legnica's Special Economic Zone, being already the 18th company to have developed a production facility within the subzone of Środa Śląska-Komorniki.     Source: investmap.pl Fot: pixabay.com
