A series of Saturday events under the programme "City of the Future/Laboratory of Wrocław – the European Capital of Culture 2016" begins on Saturday, August 27 at the Pracze Campus of Wrocław EIT+ Research Centre. The first event will be held under the banner of "Capital for the Future - Share Your Skills". "Capital for the Future - Share Your Skills" is a one-day picnic to be held in the open space of the Pracze Campus of Wrocław EIT+ Research Centre. On the said day, craftsmen, do-it-yourselfers and people with original professional backgrounds based locally and beyond will share their professional skills with the residents of Wrocław and its vicinity. 30 stands will be created where everybody will be able to learn skills such as playing chess, sewing and make-up, or find out how to patch up a hole in a bicycle inner tube, take advantage of the knowledge of an experienced computer graphic artist, confer about ideas for obtaining a business subsidy, or learn the arcana of successful brand building. The exchange of knowledge will also entail skills related to applications of technology, creation of so-called new media, as well as processing old ones to create their new applications. One will be able to learn to use specific widely available software and applications, find out about the basics of podcast development, etc. The idea behind the project is to provide the turnover of knowledge as the utmost value one can convey to another person, thus building capital for the future. Enrolment The workshops will be divided into two categories: open and ones requiring prior enrolment.
