GE Power to Invest USD 20 Million in Wrocław Production Facility

The American company GE Power, part of General Electric group, plans to invest 20 million dollars in the development and improvement of one of its Wrocław based production facilities' production capacity
The Wrocław branch of GE Power is the general designer, while the Wrocław facility works as the key supplier of electric machinery for the Opole Power Plant's power units 5 and 6. Over the past 10 years, the production plant has delivered over 230 generators featuring various power outputs to the domestic market and countries all over the world, including Sweden, Saudi Arabia, the UK, Malaysia, India and Thailand.
Currently, 650 people are employed at the facility, but the number will soon increase thanks to the new investment. The development plan for the GE Power unit's Wrocław based facility involves investment outlay of 20 million dollars, thanks to which the annual production volume of generators is expected to rise from 30 to 60.
