AB Opens Large Distribution Centre

On Tuesday, May 10th 2016, AB Group celebrated the opening of the biggest development in its history - the Distribution Centre in Magnice near Wrocław, applying state-of-the-art and innovative warehousing automation solutions. The Distribution Centre in Magnice cost almost 129 million PLN. The project gained appreciation for its innovation, thanks to which it received a subsidy of 24.3 million PLN under the European Fund for Regional Development. Thanks to the new investment, it will be possible to ensure effective distribution of AB Group's range of products not only in Poland and the Central Eastern Europe but also to Western European countries. AB Group supplies e-commerce clients in 22 countries, with a product offering and trade partners' network amounting to 16 thousand entities. - The Distribution Centre will allow further rapid growth of AB Group - says Andrzej Przybyło, president of the board with AB S.A.

The biggest investment in AB's history

The new Distribution Centre is an advanced system comprising a warehouse, delivery area, shipping area and warehousing automation. The warehouse boasts 16 km of shelves, while transport is provided by 5 km of roller conveyors. 85 km of electric wiring was used at the warehouse. The whole development is the largest multi-storey warehousing structure in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, with shipping capacity of up to 120 thousand packages a day.
