ABSL Summit 2026 is Coming to Wroclaw: A "Mini-Davos" for the Economy
For three days, Wrocław will transform into an economic "mini-Davos." Scheduled for June 17–19, the ABSL Summit 2026 conference is Europe's leading event for the business services sector. This international forum will bring together representatives from global corporations listed on the Fortune Global 500, who will meet with academics, economists, and public administration officials.
The ABSL Summit has been organized since 2010 by the Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL). It is one of Central Europe's largest business events, uniting global business leaders, local and central government officials, and European administration representatives.

The highlight of every conference is an interview with a special guest. Past editions have featured luminaries such as Bill Clinton, Madeleine Albright, Tony Blair, Condoleezza Rice, David Cameron, Al Gore, Garry Kasparov, and Aleksander Kwaśniewski. This year, Wrocław will host Geoffrey Hinton—the 2024 Nobel Laureate in Physics, widely recognized as the "godfather" of artificial intelligence.
An Opportunity for Wrocław and Lower Silesia
Choosing Wrocław and Lower Silesia as the host region offers a prime opportunity to promote the area among top global business representatives and showcase its potential to future investors.
"Choosing Wrocław as the location for ABSL Summit 2026 confirms our city's status as a leader in the modern economy. Wrocław has become a hub for highly advanced services where global-scale solutions are created." Jacek Sutryk, Mayor of Wrocław
For years, Wrocław and Lower Silesia have pursued a deliberate strategy to encourage potential investors to set up their businesses in the region. The city attracts investors not only through its excellent location and infrastructure but also due to its access to a highly qualified workforce and high quality of life.
-
Academic Hub: Wrocław is one of the largest academic centers in Poland, with around 100,000 students.
-
Talent Pool: Every year, tens of thousands of graduates leave local universities with degrees in technical, economic, and IT fields.
-
The Investor Argument: Mayor Jacek Sutryk notes that access to this qualified talent pool is one of the strongest arguments for investors choosing the city.
The presence of new business entities translates directly into tangible benefits for local residents. Beyond creating jobs, it brings in additional revenue that allows the city to grow dynamically and invest in further infrastructure projects.
"During the last session, Wrocław's planned budget for this year exceeded 10 billion PLN. When I started my work (in 2007 - editor's note), it was less than a billion, so the progress is evident. This would not have been possible without the modern business services segment." Marcin Urban, Treasurer of Wrocław

Notably, Wrocław is currently home to circa 250 business service, IT, R&D, and modern technology centers. This sector employs over 70,000 people—meaning that one in seven working residents of Wrocław is tied to the modern business services industry.
"Wrocław generates a gross domestic product exceeding 90 billion PLN annually, placing our city among the economically strongest metropolitan areas in Poland. Global companies like IBM, Google, Nokia, and 3M have established their R&D, tech, and service centers here. The strength of Wrocław's economy relies on innovation, highly qualified talent, and effective cooperation between local government, business, and academia" Treasurer Marcin Urban adds.
Top Global Corporations in Attendance
The three-day ABSL Summit 2026 will provide yet another opportunity to showcase the region's assets and host behind-the-scenes talks between government authorities and potential investors.
"Following the Economic Forum in Karpacz, which draws thousands of entrepreneurs and local government officials, today we are launching an event targeted at a slightly different business segment." Paweł Gancarz, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship

This year, the ABSL Summit is held under the slogan "Know the unknown." Organizers estimate that representatives from approximately 1,500 different entities will attend, including 800 from the business sector. Major global corporations, such as IBM and Amazon, are confirmed to participate.
"The Summit attracts investors and companies that have already invested in Poland and employ a near half-million-strong army of specialists in the business services sector. This sector is the crown jewel of the Polish economy—by far the most innovative, accounting for nearly 6%, specifically 5.7%, of Poland's GDP," outlines Janusz Dziurzyński, President of ABSL. "Our conference is the key meeting place for the people who shape this sector. Those who run it today, those who built it over the years, and—crucially—those who will create its future," he adds.
"The conference participants are potential investors and future leaders who will establish their centers here and employ our local talent." Janusz Dziurzyński, President of ABSL

TALENT – TECHNOLOGY – TRANSFORMATION
The program for this year’s conference is built around three core pillars: TALENT, TECHNOLOGY, and TRANSFORMATION.
-
TALENT: Focuses on the academic foundation, which is recognized as one of the primary drivers of the modern economy.
-
TECHNOLOGY: Dedicated this year to the development of artificial intelligence and its secure implementation into investment processes.
-
TRANSFORMATION: Offers an analysis of how corporations operate in an unstable geopolitical environment (including conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine), with a particular emphasis on broken supply chains that impact even smaller, local businesses.
The ABSL Summit will take place from June 17–19, 2026, at the Centennial Hall complex. Attendees will participate in numerous debates and case study sessions showcasing AI implementation and operational transformation in companies like Takeda, Danone, and Philips.
The agenda will be rounded out by an intellectual sparring match between Prof. Andrzej Dragan and Prof. Michał Kosiński of Stanford University. Additionally, Katarzyna Kasia will host a discussion on the fears and hopes of an uncertain future, featuring prominent figures from the cultural world: Kinga Preis, Tomasz Kot, and Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski.
