Over a thousand new jobs. Amazon is opening Poland’s most advanced logistics center
They will employ over 1,000 people, and their work will be supported by 5,000 robots. In October 2026, the American giant Amazon will launch its twelfth logistics center in Poland—the first in Lower Silesia equipped with the fully robotic Amazon Robotics system. Recruitment has already begun.
Amazon’s state-of-the-art logistics center will be built in Dobromierz, Lower Silesia
Amazon in Lower Silesia has built a diverse logistics ecosystem. The centers already operating in the region handle, respectively: traditional warehousing and shipping, sorting products before delivery, on-demand book printing, and the rapid rerouting of shipments to delivery routes without storage. Each operates under a different business model—ranging from traditional order fulfillment to logistics based solely on product flow.
The Amazon center in Dobromierz will add large-scale, advanced robotics to this mix. More than 5,000 robots will assist employees with order fulfillment and shipping, making their daily work easier. This is Amazon’s fourth robotic center in Poland.
From the very beginning, the new center in Dobromierz was designed so that technology would genuinely support our employees in their daily work. Intelligent process management systems and over 5,000 robots will assist with more demanding tasks, streamlining order fulfillment and shipping. This will make work more comfortable and safer.
Sławomir Płonka, Regional Director of Operations for Amazon in Central and Eastern Europe.
Amazon is investing in the Wrocław metropolitan area
Amazon has been operating in Poland since 2012 and has invested over 45 billion PLN here to date, with an additional 23 billion PLN in investments announced for 2026–2028. Lower Silesia holds a special place in Amazon’s strategy—in 2025 alone, Amazon invested over 2.5 billion PLN in the province, and its operations contributed to a rise in regional GDP of over 1.3 billion PLN.
Amazon is one of the most important investors with whom the Wrocław Metropolitan Area Development Agency has been collaborating for over a decade. The new logistics center in Dobromierz is further proof that Lower Silesia remains one of the most attractive investment locations in Central Europe. The sheer scale of the project sends a signal to other investors that the region is ready for top-tier projects.
Magdalena Okulowska, CEO of the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency.
The choice of Dobromierz was driven by its road infrastructure, access to a dedicated workforce from the Świdnica and Wałbrzych subregions, and a location that allows residents of nearby towns to commute quickly to a modern workplace.
Amazon’s investments have contributed to the creation of over 5,000 direct and 10,000 indirect jobs in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in industries such as logistics, construction, and professional services. The new center in Dobromierz represents a unique opportunity for our municipality and the entire subregion to achieve stable employment and further development. We are delighted that Amazon chose this very location.
Jerzy Ulbin, mayor of the Dobromierz Municipality.
Lower Silesia—Amazon’s key operational region in Central Europe
It is worth noting that Amazon’s logistics centers in Bielany Wrocławskie (Kobierzyce Municipality) are among the company’s first investments in the country. Commissioned in 2014, the twin facilities—each with an area of 95,000 square meters—are integrated into Amazon’s European Fulfillment Network, enabling this region to serve customers across Europe.
This means that Amazon treats Lower Silesia as its key, ultra-modern logistics hub for Central and Eastern Europe, combining an excellent infrastructure location with the latest automation technologies.
