An increase of passenger traffic at the Wroclaw airport

Almost 264,000 passengers used the services of the Wrocław airport in the first 31 days of 2025. This is 5 percent more than in January last year. Will the airport beat its record from last year, which was almost 4.5 million passengers? The chances are pretty good. What are the most popular destinations?
Besides the United Kingdom, travelers most often chose flights to Spain and Malta in January.
The highest occupancy among low-cost carriers was recorded on flights to southern Europe. Flights to Porto and Lisbon were record-breaking in this respect. Slightly fewer passengers chose flights to Alicante, Malaga, and Valencia.
Charter flights also saw much more traffic than last year. The most popular destinations were the Egyptian resorts of Hurghada and Marsa Alam.
Providing services to over 260,000 passengers in January is a great achievement, especially considering the ongoing reconstruction of our airport's operational area. The investment is being carried out according to schedule and, as you can see, it does not affect our ability to expand our offer. We still have two months of the winter flight schedule ahead of us, but everything indicates that it will be a record winter at our airport.
Karol Przywara, President of the Board of Wroclaw Airport
Wroclaw Airport will undergo a major reconstruction in the future. The plans include the expansion of the passenger terminal, the construction of a multiple-level parking garage and a building for ground support vehicle charging. A tender for the development of an architectural and functional concept as well as project documentation is currently underway. The deadline for submitting bids is March 5, 2025.
