There was a big cake and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions (ECMS) showed off their new office at the Dominikanska Center on October 17. Their operations in Wroclaw have to do with the powerful precious metals and catalyst industries.

The grand opening of the BASF ECMS office in Wroclaw was attended by the company's employees and bosses, as well as guests Jakub Mazur, vice mayor of Wroclaw, and Martin Kremer, consul general of Germany in Wroclaw.

The new office in Wroclaw follows a decision in December 2021, when BASF decided to establish an independent subsidiary, BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions, to focus on automotive catalysts, precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.

BASF ECMS operates globally in 15 countries encompassing some 20 production facilities and more than 4,000 employees.

BASF has the most modern catalyst plant in Europe in the Wroclaw metropolitan area

Recall that this is not BASF's only investment in the region. In 2014, BASF opened its most modern catalyst plant in Europe in Środa Śląska near Wroclaw. The plant currently employs more than 550 people and has significantly increased its production capacity in recent years.

BASF with an award from the mayor of Wroclaw - Socially Responsible Business

BASF is committed to working with local communities in its operations. Among other things, for this the company was recognized at the Economic Forum in Karpacz 2023, where it was honored with the - Wroclaw Mayor's Award - Socially Responsible Business.
