In the first phase of operation, the facility will serve approximately 1,500 stores in the Wroclaw area. The warehouse area is as much as 35,000 sq m (with another 6,500 sq m planned). The new logistics center will create approximately 600 jobs.

Adam Manikowski, Vice-President of the Management Board and Managing Director of Żabka Polska, emphasizes the importance of the new logistics center for the Wrocław agglomeration.

By opening nearly 1,000 new stores a year, we are able to effectively expand our business without compromising on the highest standards. From the customer's perspective, this means they can be sure that they will find what they need on the shelves, always on time. It is also our advantage in responding quickly to changing market needs. Effective logistics also responds to the real needs of franchisees, supporting them in their day-to-day business operations.

Żabka Logistics Center near Wroclaw. What is there

The Żabka logistics center is located on the A4 motorway. The warehouse has three modern zones: an automated cold store (5,000 sq m), a freezer (1,500 sq m) and a dry zone (17,000 sq m).

Supplying nearly 1,500 stores in the Wroclaw region and the surrounding area, the warehouse will partially relieve the logistics center in Komorniki, as it is to Kąty Wrocławskie that the completion of refrigerated orders for stores in the Lower Silesia capital region will be transferred.

The new facility, which is part of Żabka's own infrastructure, features a number of environmentally friendly innovations, such as a photovoltaic installation, electric car chargers, and a refrigeration and freezing system that uses the heat generated during the production of cold air to heat the floors in the cold store and to provide hot water for the main office building.

Currently, the logistics centre offers positions for, among others, forklift operators, warehouse workers and logistics specialists.

The Żabka chain currently has eight logistics centers and 19 transshipment terminals, from which goods are distributed to stores throughout Poland. They are used by 9,000 franchisees operating over 11,000 stores, to which approximately 3 million deliveries are made annually.
