Do you have an idea for business? That's great, prizes are waiting

The Legnica Special Economic Zone is actively celebrating its 25th anniversary and on this occasion has prepared a competition entitled "My first business", which thanks to its partners has attractive prizes. The competition is addressed to secondary school and university students belonging to the Lower Silesian Education Cluster.
 
In addition to most of the secondary schools from Legnica-Głogów subregion, students of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, University of Economics or Collegium Witelon in Legnica, The State Higher Vocational School in Głogów and Jan Wyżykowski University in Polkowice can also take part in the competition.

"My first business" - creating a business plan

The task of the contestants is to prepare a business plan. The main objectives of the competition are motivation to development and promotion of entrepreneurial attitudes. Works of participants will be checked by experts in terms of subject and scope of planned business and expected financial results. There is something to fight for!

The prize pool in the competition includes cash prizes:

  • 1st place: 2000 PLN (funded by the Legnica Special Economic Zone)
  • 2nd place: 1000 PLN (funded by Coventry University Wrocław)
  • 3rd place: 500 PLN (funded by the ARLEG Regional Development Agency)
There are also special prizes from the Accountants Association in Poland (regional branch in Legnica).

The competition is addressed to secondary school and university students belonging to the Lower Silesian Education Cluster.

Workshops for those interested in the competition

LSSE together with Coventry University Wroclaw invite students of secondary schools: general, industry and technical to the training: "Innovative business, or what kind of business?".
 
The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, April 28th, at 10 a.m. in the office of the Legnica Special Economic Zone, at 24 Rycerska Street in Legnica.
 
During the training, participants will learn about current trends and innovations in entrepreneurship, such as sustainable development, closed-loop operations and sharing, automation, and artificial intelligence. Students will learn how a venture can become more innovative, which will help them develop a better business concept. Young people will have the opportunity to think through and prepare parts of a business plan using the Business Model Canvas tool. The training will be led by Dr. Joanna Kubicka from Coventry University Wroclaw.

10.00 - 10.15 - Introduction and presentation of Coventry University.
10.15 - 11.15 - Trends and innovations in entrepreneurship - presentation.
11.15 - 11.30 - Break.
11.30 - 12.30 - Business Model Canvas workshop - team work on a common idea.
12.30 - 12.50 - Individual work on one's own business plan.
12.50 - 13.00 - Summary.
