From Wrocław to Vancouver: Lower Silesian Tech Business at Web Summit 2026
Wrocław and Lower Silesia have once again proven that they are the technological heart of this part of Europe. A delegation of 15 innovative companies from our region is taking part in Web Summit Vancouver 2026 — one of the world’s largest and most prestigious technology conferences. For four days, our entrepreneurs are presenting their original solutions to global investors and IT industry leaders.
From May 11 to 14, the eyes of the global tech world are focused on Vancouver. This is where Web Summit 2026 is taking place — an event bringing together more than 20,000 participants, from visionary startups and powerful venture capital funds to giants such as Google and Microsoft. Among this elite group are representatives of Wrocław, Lower Silesia, and Warsaw.

Web Summit Vancouver – Wrocław and Lower Silesia at the Polish National Pavilion
On May 12, the official opening of the Polish National Pavilion at Web Summit Vancouver took place. The Polish delegation, together with representatives of local authorities, ceremonially cut the red-and-white ribbon, inaugurating Poland’s presence at this year’s edition of the event. Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs Michał Gramatyka, who attended the event in Vancouver, emphasized that Poland has the best pavilion at the entire conference.

At Web Summit Vancouver 2026, the Polish National Pavilion features the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), the City of Warsaw, Lower Silesia, and Wrocław, represented by officials from the City of Wrocław and the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Warsaw is showcasing 10 startups and 2 technology foundations, while Lower Silesia is presenting 15 startups.

Wrocław Innovations on the Global Stage
Fifteen companies traveled to Canada as ambassadors of Lower Silesia’s modern business and technology sector. They represent the region’s key specializations: from artificial intelligence and Big Data, through advanced e-commerce solutions, to digital health and sustainability technologies.
Among the Lower Silesian technology ambassadors are:
- Software and AI leaders: 4soft, Genuitek Software, Neural, Equiqo, Soft Power
- E-commerce and logistics innovators: Droplo, AgileQueue, Mix Service Online
- Health and environmental technologies: Diagno6 Prosta, Green Energy Iwona Babińska, Greenfields Sienkiewicz
- Management and geoinformatics: GISPartner, Smarter Management Agnieszka Orczyk, JBTS, and Synergia Pro
Magdalena Okulowska, President of ARAW, emphasized that companies from Wrocław and Lower Silesia are presenting outstanding technological solutions.

Lower Silesian regional councilor Piotr Karwan also highlighted the region’s economic strength.

Members of the Polish delegation participated in industry panels and numerous networking meetings with representatives of the IT and new technology sectors from British Columbia.

The Region Focuses on “Going Global”
Participation in Web Summit is part of the “Going Global 5.0” project, implemented by the Lower Silesian Regional Government in cooperation with the Lower Silesian Agency for Economic Cooperation.
The project is financed in 70 percent by European Union funds under the “European Funds for Lower Silesia 2021–2027” program. Thanks to this support, companies from Wrocław and Lower Silesia can compete for the attention of investors from Silicon Valley and Asia.
