Global giant BASF is opening an office. They will deal with catalysts and precious metals
First - in the Wroclaw metropolitan area - they built the most modern catalyst production plant in Europe, now they are investing in Wroclaw. BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions is opening a new office in the Dominikanski Center. They are just now looking for employees. What will they do there?
BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions (ECMS) announced on July 3 that it has signed a lease agreement for its new office at the Dominican Center, where it plans to move in after the vacations. Everything has to do with the powerful precious metals and catalyst industries.
What will BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions be doing in Wroclaw?
- We wanted our new space to be in line with our sustainable building philosophy of the most rational selection of resources and solutions. As a company, we are a leader in the production of automotive catalysts - arguably one of the most important devices created to protect the quality of the air we breathe. When choosing a new office, it was therefore natural for us to focus on sustainability issues," says Markus Steigner, Vice President Finance & Accounting and Member of the Board of BASF ECMS in Poland.
It is worth recalling that BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions' current temporary headquarters in Wroclaw is in the Silver Tower Center.

ECMS plans to employ more than 70 people in Wroclaw. It is currently recruiting for a new team that focuses on specialists in tax accounting, human resources, purchasing, IT and security.
BASF ECMS in the Wroclaw metropolitan area has the most modern catalyst production plant in Europe.
Jan Eberhardt, CEO of BASF ECMS in Poland, adds that this is not the company's only investment in the region. In 2014, BASF opened its most modern catalyst plant in Europe in Sroda Slaska near Wroclaw. The plant now employs more than 550 people and has significantly increased its production capacity in recent years.
