- We have started the construction of another hall at Wroclaw V Logistics Centre. The warehouse park in Magnice is one of the largest projects of its kind in Poland, being built in the Wroclaw agglomeration. The latest phase of the investment has been 100 percent leased even before the start of construction, the investor reports.

GLP Wroclaw V Logistics Park. A huge logistics park is being built near Wroclaw.

GLP has already built and fully leased three modern warehouse and production buildings in Magnice (Kobierzyce municipality) near Wroclaw. The investor has also improved the infrastructure in the area, building, among other things, a roundabout-junction at the intersection of the access to the newly built warehouses with the S8 expressway, which connects the park to the A4 and A8 freeways and the S3 and S5 roads. Bus lines connecting the suburbs with the center of Wroclaw and providing easy access for employees of companies operating in GLP buildings are also located nearby.

GLP Wroclaw V Logistics Centre focuses on ecology

The newest building of GLP Wroclaw V Logistics Centre will meet the guidelines of the BREEAM certificate at the "Excellent" level. Among other things, it will be equipped with energy-saving solutions. Lighting of the 12-meter facility will be controlled by a DALI system, and the need for artificial light will be reduced thanks to an above-standard number of skylights.

Access roads and parking lots throughout the project are illuminated with LED lamps. For those interested, there is also the possibility of installing photovoltaic panels on the roof. In turn, water conservation is possible thanks to, among other things, the system used to recover rainwater and reuse it for the toilet flushing system.

All tenants of GLP Wroclaw V Logistics Centre can individually control their electricity, gas and water consumption thanks to so-called smart metering. A biodiverse, green environment is also an important feature of the project. There are bicycle sheds next to the buildings, and chargers for electric cars and e-bikes in the parking lots. The existing old-growth forest has been preserved throughout the site; not a single tree will be cut down for the new construction.

The expansion of GLP Wroclaw V Logistics Centre is accompanied by continuous upgrading of the buildings. In an ongoing effort to reduce the carbon footprint of our investments and lower the facility's operating costs, the newest hall will use, among other things, a low-emission steel roof structure and thickened wall and roof thermal insulation. We are also ready to introduce additional environmentally friendly solutions according to the requirements of the future user

Michal Kropiewnicki, Technical Development Manager of GLP.

Huge demand for massive warehouses and logistics parks in Wroclaw. What's in the giant halls

More than 600 thousand square meters of modern warehouses are under construction in Lower Silesia. Almost two-thirds of them, developers are building in Wroclaw and the immediate vicinity. Lower Silesian halls are primarily awaited by tenants from the e-commerce and logistics sectors. Powerful warehouses in the region are being built by Panattoni, Hillwood and GLP.
