Wroclaw entrepreneurs and experts met at the first business breakfast of the year organized by Invest in Wrocław. The event was devoted to the latest changes in regulations and the most important challenges facing business in 2026.

They talked about what arouses the most emotions

The participants discussed the inevitable changes in the law that have a real impact on the functioning of the entire business. Particular attention was paid to the issues that arouse the most emotions and concerns, including the implementation of the KSeF system.

The event featured presentations by experts:

  • Labor law 2026: Strategies for new challenges facing employers – Dr. Rafał Gołąb, JP Weber
  • New regulations shaping the energy market in 2026: what businesses need to know – Anna Siwkowska, Olesiński i Wspólnicy
  • Foreigners in Poland: New registration rules – analysis and recommendations – Alicja Stopyra, JP Weber
  • What's new in taxes and reliefs in 2026 – Martyna Gniewowska, Olesiński i Wspólnicy

The meeting ended with a workshop entitled “KseF in practice – how to tackle the issue.

Topics important in everyday business

The topics discussed by the experts proved to be very timely and aroused great interest among the participants.

Changes concerning the employment of foreigners have been a topic of discussion since 2025. The practice will probably also take shape in the coming months. These changes are enormous. The most significant for entities entrusting the performance of work is, above all, the ongoing digitization of both the procedures for legalizing work and residence in Poland. This will certainly improve the entire system, because that is the goal of these changes.

Alicja Stopyra, attorney at JP Weber

Laws and regulations are constantly changing, and meetings with people who are knowledgeable about them and able to translate them into everyday language are invaluable. Here, we gain knowledge, exchange experiences, and enjoy the pleasant bonus of delicious coffee and breakfast.

The current energy transition was also discussed during the meeting.

Ultimately, it will affect all of us and all entrepreneurs. It will be possible to contract energy independently, unlike in the standard way. That is why it is worth knowing how to choose a renewable energy source that suits your needs.

Anna Siwkowska, legal advisor at Olesiński i Wspólnicy

Exchange of knowledge on current trends

As Magdalena Okulowska, president of the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency, reminded us, as many as four business breakfasts were organized last year.

During these meetings, organized jointly with our partners, we have the opportunity to exchange knowledge about current trends and draw inspiration on how to jointly promote Wrocław and our agglomeration to the outside world. We also talk about how to build the prestige of our city, attract not only investments but also talent, because in reality, one follows from the other.

Promoting the city's investment potential

During the meeting, the organizers shared Invest in Wroclaw's plans for the coming year and the strategy for the further development of the project. According to Mateusz Jarzombek, director of the Business Support Center at ARAW, further intensive activities are planned for 2026 to promote Wrocław's investment potential, as well as the technologies that are being developed here.

Technology comes first because our city is technologically strong. We want to show everything that is happening in the world of innovation and is produced here in Wrocław. We have also planned further business breakfasts and meetings at the highest management and strategic level for leaders in the world of manufacturing. One of the most important events will be Made in Wrocław, which this year will take place on October 27 and 28. We will then talk about people, innovation, and knowledge, which are the foundation of our economic development.

Mateusz Jarzombek

Satisfied participants

The participants also make no secret of their satisfaction with the Invest and Wroclaw event.

I think business breakfasts are a great initiative. They allow you to get acquainted and gain knowledge about what is currently happening, what changes are taking place in regulations, and what challenges entrepreneurs face today. What is very important is that they allow us to meet, talk, network, and perhaps find new perspectives and directions for cooperation.

Artur Górecki, Technology Delivery Director at Luxoft

Here, I can find business partners, tenants, and representatives of various real estate companies. Some of these relationships are monetized in the long or short term. Therefore, from our perspective, the series of business breakfasts organized by ARAW and Invest in Wroclaw is a very positive factor for business.

Krzysztof Szargawiński, Associate Director, Avison Young Poland

The next business breakfast under the auspices of INVEST IN WROCLAW will take place in May.
