ITPopCorn – another year of the IT internships

It is the third time the internship programme was organized by Wrocław association of companies from ITC sector – ITCorner. From June to October of 2016, 23 students is taking part in the internship programme, which takes place in the association’s companies. Local companies from the ICT sector are helping students to gain the experience by a possibility to join a wide variety of projects, which are conducted by them.

• Every year we are noticing that the large amount of the most promising students are hired by big corporations. Small and medium IT companies from Wrocław are not able to conquest alone with this issue, especially when it is about the salary. Instead we can propose other atmosphere and the possibility to work with the project from its very beginning. That is why we are joining into clusters (organization of the companies from one sector) and because of that we are able to invite people to trainings and internships at our partner’s offices. – says Marta Fudali, from the management of the ITCorner from Wrocław.

A little bit different internships In this year’s edition of ITPopCorn 10 companies from ITCorner cluster are taking part. Besides lectures and trainings each one offers students joining the project from its very beginning. After the end of the project the best participants are welcomed to stay in the chosen company. Last year almost 70% of the internship’s participants made it. In 2016 also University of Wrocław joined the initiative. Organizers pledge that with the development of the association new companies will help to organize this event. It will allow to reach even bigger scope of the students.
