Startup Wrocław: Evolutions is a next part of an initiative which as Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency (ARAW) we begun one and a half year ago. It was a next event, organized by ARAW, which aim is to integrate Wrocław start-up environment. In conference Startup Wrocław: Evolution participated more than 250 people – young entrepreneurs, but also full-time job workers, who plan to open their own start-up.
  • We are glad that we gain bigger and bigger trust among young Wrocław business. More than a year ago we organized our first meeting like that and to fill the whole conference room we needed a registration which lasted two weeks. Completing the guest list this year took only three days. – says Przemysław Chłoń from Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency, the host of the event – Next year as ARAW we plan to run a special department for support and cooperation with star-ups. We want to develop our base of Wrocław start-ups and create a base of mentors. We prepare also our first acceleration programme, which will be realized with the outdoor partner.
The slogan of this week meeting was to “see a different point of view”, by not only exchange of experience between entrepreneurs, but also by looking at the product from the perspective of an investor and a customer. Because of that during the conference the issue connected with efficient selling was discussed – here the expert was Tomasz Karwatka from Divante, proving that sale solves all the problems and advising how gaining new clients is possible. During the conference Startup Wrocław: Evolutions also issue like trust in business was discussed. Maciej Wilczyński, who specialise in web researches and co-founder of research project Mispie talked about results of the researches,  where he examined the level of trust among start-ups. During the discussion panel present were also Bartek Postek, founder and chairman of Funmedia, Tomasz Chołast from Zrzutka.pl, Jerzy Niemczyk from Wrocław University of Economics in Wrocław, Tomasz Szpikowski from DroidsOnRoids, Tomasz Poźniak from KGHM and Waldemar Sokołowski from National Institute of Economic Law. This meeting was also an opportunity to present new initiative Startup Founders, about which talked Bartłomiej Postek and Tomasz Chołast. Its aim is integration, experience sharing and creating trust between start-ups. The special guest of the event was John Spece – management consultant, trainer of management staff, speaker cooperating with both: companies from the list Fortune 500 and small entrepreneurs and organizations from all over the world.
