For the twenty-seventh time, the chapter of the Lower Silesian Key of Success competition has awarded individuals and organizations whose activities enhance the prestige and stature of the Lower Silesian region. The statuette for 2023 in the category of the greatest personality in the promotion of Lower Silesia was received by Krzysztof Domarecki. The award was given for activities that make the region famous at home and abroad.
What does Krzysztof Domarecki do
Krzysztof Domarecki - the main shareholder of Selena Group - has been involved in business and social projects for years. Thanks to his commitment, over the past 25 years Selena has gained market shares in most European countries, the USA, Brazil, South Korea and China.
- Managers, contractors and company representatives from all over the world come to Selena's plants in Lower Silesia to learn about the innovations being created.
- Thus, they also get acquainted with the rapidly developing region and its investment opportunities.
Krzysztof Domarecki says that Selena's operating model is based on the fact that the headquarters is located in Wroclaw and the individual companies of the Selena Group are located in different countries on four continents. Added to this is Selena's long list of distributors and customers from almost 100 countries.
In this way, we develop relationships with managers and customers from all over the world. They come to Wroclaw or to our R&D center in Dzierzoniow practically every month. They get to know how Poles work, how modern Poland functions and how it is changing. They take this image home with them and share it in their communities

Krzysztof Domarecki is the recipient of many awards and titles, including the Wroclaw Mayor's Award.
"By building a recognizable company brand, Domarecki actively locates the economy of Wroclaw in the global network". - This was the justification for the Wroclaw Mayor's Award.
Since 2021, he has been an ambassador of the global #BuildingLife sustainable construction campaign and a member of the University of Wroclaw Council.
The Lower Silesian Key of Success is a regional award that has been given since 1997 by a chapter whose members are distinguished local government officials, scientists and entrepreneurs associated with Lower Silesia.
The purpose of the award is to appreciate outstanding personalities, companies and institutions, and local governments achieving successes that raise the profile of the Lower Silesian region. The competition is initiated by the Association for the Promotion of Lower Silesia.
In receiving the award, Krzysztof Domarecki joined the group of distinguished winners from previous years, honored in this category, including Prof. Alicja Chybicka, Prof. Krzysztof Simon, Prof. Jan Miodek, Piotr Paleczny, Tadeusz Rozewicz, Kinga Preis, Norman Davies, Dr. Adolf Juzwenko or Ewa Michnik.
