Lower Silesian companies can gain PLN 100 million for development and expansion
Companies from Wrocław and the entire region will be able to grow faster, enter new markets, and create jobs. This is now possible thanks to funds from the Lower Silesian Development Fund, which is launching Lowercap DFR ASI – a tool designed to help them effectively achieve this. Over the next 10 years, the fund plans to allocate approximately PLN 100 million for this purpose.

Lowercap is the first regional fund in Poland to combine public and private money. It has been designed so that every zloty from the local government and the European Union attracts additional money from private investors.
As a result, companies from the region receive greater support, and the risk to public money is reduced. It is a practical solution that allows more money to stay and work in the region.
Support for ambitious entrepreneurs
Lowercap invests in ambitious projects that can go beyond Poland and show that Lower Silesia is a place where future international champions grow. It supports companies that are already operating and selling their products but need additional capital to accelerate their growth, enter new markets, and create new jobs.
It is already known that several companies can count on financing.
We have the ambition to become the largest regional fund in Poland, targeting young, innovative, fast-growing companies, and at the same time the first project of its kind in Poland that combines public and private capital.

Companies get more than just money
Lowercap DFR ASI operates on a model that is simple for entrepreneurs: it provides money for development, but also knowledge and contacts in cooperation with private investors, who thus bring additional value to the transaction. This means that companies get not only money, but also substantive support and contacts to a network of experts and entrepreneurs.
We intend to invest in promising companies from Lower Silesia, but also in those that want to move here and develop their business in our region.

A boost for the development of young and innovative companies
According to Mateusz Jarzombek, director of the ARAW Business Support Center, such a fund is an effective financial tool that can become another strong development impulse for young and innovative companies from Lower Silesia, seeking not only capital, but also access to a network of experts and business partners.
This mechanism will increase the region's investment attractiveness and help attract more entrepreneurs.

The whole region benefits
Although Lowercap is aimed directly at businesses, it has an impact on all residents of Lower Silesia. Thanks to it, companies that create well-paid jobs can develop, not only in large cities, but also in smaller towns.
Lower Silesia is a leader in the area of coordinated support for regional businesses. Today, Lowercap is becoming a key element of this, alongside tools such as DFR preferential loans, the Going Global program, the TriQube and DPIN incubator infrastructure, and the ecosystem of cooperation between regional companies and institutions.

An opportunity to multiply capital
The Lowercap fund was created based on the experience of the first regional fund, DFR Inwestycyjny, which supported investments in a smaller market. This first provincial venture capital initiative included investments in nine companies for a total amount of PLN 25 million.
Among the subsidized companies were Scanway, a manufacturer of space optoelectronics, the owner of the Your KAYA cosmetics brand, Livekid, one of Europe's largest SaaS companies for managing kindergartens and nurseries, DokDok, a provider of a digital patient service platform, and Pergamin, a company developing a paperless cloud.
The companies in which DFR Inwestycyjny invested increased their employment by over 300 people, and more than half of them successfully expanded abroad and are now among the European leaders in their industries.
These results were made possible thanks to funds from the Lower Silesian Province, which were joined by other investors – private entities, funds, and banks. In total, for every zloty invested by the province, companies from the DFR Inwestycyjny portfolio attracted eight zlotys from other sources, and DFR Inwestycyjny multiplied the value of the investment approximately threefold.
