Jangha Lee - new president of LG Energy Solution Wroclaw
LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, Europe's largest manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries for electric cars and one of its largest employers, has a new president. As of July 2022, the company is headed by Jangha Lee. Among other things, the changes in the management board are expected to ensure the company's continued growth through the expansion of its production facility, which will ultimately strengthen its position as a market leader.
Jangha Lee, the new president of LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, at the Wroclaw-based company has so far been responsible for the development of one of the company's most strategic divisions - Electrodes. Jangha Lee has been with LG Group since 1994.
I am honored to be entrusted with leading one of the world's most important companies in the automotive industry. It is certainly a huge challenge, but I am confident that with the entire LG Energy Solution Wroclaw team we will strengthen our market position and relationships with contractors. Along with the dynamic development of the production plant, we will offer further attractive jobs. We have been shaping them for years, focusing on the development of the team and providing them with a rich benefits package. I believe we will achieve our goals and the company will grow in line with the vision "We CHARGE toward a better future".

LG Energy Solution Wroclaw: more batteries for electric cars, growth strategy
Among the new challenges is the implementation of LG Energy Solution Wroclaw's further development strategy. The first goal is to expand the technology park - by the end of 2025 the company will increase production capacity from 70 GWh to 115 GWh.
Under Jangha Lee's leadership, the company will strive long-term to be an increasingly environmentally friendly company: for years, concern for the climate and the fulfillment of social responsibilities have been priorities for action. Already today, 100 percent of energy at the suburban manufacturing plant comes from RES, while by 2050 the LG Energy Solution Group aims to achieve carbon neutrality.
LG Energy Solution has been a leader in the battery manufacturing industry since 1992. With years of experience in research and development of breakthrough battery technologies, the company became the world's first manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles in 2009, and has been expanding its product lineup ever since.
Over the past decade alone, LG Energy Solution has invested $4.5 billion in research and development, so that it now holds nearly 23,000 patents worldwide in materials and core technologies.
