Prezentujemy bohaterki i bohaterów 47. Wrocławskiej Księgi Pamięci.

In Wroclaw we had and have important plans, and it seems that it is also very important to stop for a moment and see thanks to whom we have managed and are managing to implement these important plans. Also that we are able to thank each other for what has been successful together. And today is also such a moment that I thank you for what you have done and are doing for Wroclaw.

Jacek Sutryk, Mayor of Wroclaw

Honored with the medal "Merito de Wratislavia - Meritorious for Wroclaw"

Czeslawa Laba - master of "shoemaking passion"

At No. 13 Gwarna Street, she has been practicing the profession of shoemaker for almost half a century. A small workshop of Czeslawa Laba, bearing a somewhat tattered by time signboard "Shoemaking services. Repair", looks today as it did when it was founded - that is, in 1975. But its owner still does the same work - making shoes (from flip-flops to jackboots!), as well as repairing damaged footwear. Because even though with today's saturated market, many people consider shoe repair pointless and unprofitable, I guess everyone has their "beloved treads" that they find hard to part with, but need to be "rescued" more and more over time. Thus, Ms. Czeslawa has such regular customers, who, for friction or gluing, always go to her.
