From January till the end of July Wrocław Airport handled over 1.6 million passengers. In July only, there were nearly 315.5 thousand passengers. That's nearly 60 thousand more than same time a year ago, which is an increase of 22.3%. - Last month we recorded not only the largest increase in passenger traffic this year, but also a record passenger load factor, which on some flights exceeded 96% - says Jarosław Sztucki, Sales and Marketing Director at Wroclaw Airport. July brought growth in all segments of air traffic. Comparing to last year about 22.7% more people chose low-cost flights. The number of travelers who have opted for international connections to the largest European hubs has also grown by 23.5%. In comparison with last year, 31.2% more passengers used domestic connections. Last month also brought an increase in charter flights. This type of travel was chosen by 17.1% more passengers than a year ago. Southern Europe destinations most preferable Low-cost connections are becoming more popular among Wroclaw Airport passengers - over 157 thousand travelers chose this type of flights. In July, the average passenger load factor exceeded 95% on routes to Bristol, Glasgow and Cork. In July flights to southern Europe dominated air traffic. In the case of flights to Tenerife and Málaga, the average load factor exceeded 96%, while Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, Lisbon and Palma Mallorca - 95%. By the end of October Ryanair will launch two new Italian connections: to Palermo (Sicily) and Naples. Popular charters directions In this year's offer from tour operators there were more than 20 charter destinations departing  from Wroclaw. Among them: Greece (Rhodes, Zakynthos, Corfu and Crete), Turkey (Antalya), Spain (Majorca) and Egypt (Hurghada), as well as this year's new destinations - Tirana (Albania) and Kefalonia (Greece). From Wroclaw into the world The network of connections to the largest European airports will be extended in the coming winter season.
