Investors discussed strengths and challenges in conducting business in Wroclaw

Comprehensive support, consulting and assistance both during the investment process and after its completion - all this can be expected by entrepreneurs who are planning to start or further develop their business in the wroclaw agglomeration. All this within the scope of Invest in Wroclaw. The refreshed formula of this project was introduced to investors during a business breakfast held on January 30 this year.
Invest in Wroclaw is a key element supporting the building of the city's business strategy. The Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency (ARAW) has been providing comprehensive support to investors since its establishment in 2005. As part of the Invest in Wroclaw project, ARAW has a team that, with the help of external partners and experts in various fields, provides professional and solid information necessary for the decision to invest in the region.
The first business breakfast of the year was held on Thursday, January 30, during which dozens of representatives of the city and Wroclaw business met to discuss the region's economic development, the strengths of the wroclaw agglomeration and the challenges of attracting foreign investors to the capital of Lower Silesia.
Investors sought - local and foreign
According to Magdalena Okulowska, president of the board at Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency, ARAW has been comprehensively promoting Wroclaw's investment potential for years under the Invest in Wroclaw brand. However, the refreshed formula is focused on the search for new investors, both foreign and local.
At the same time, we place great emphasis on cooperation with companies already operating in the city, in order to be an even more useful partner for them. It is the strong, integrated and cooperative business ecosystem that is the greatest asset of our agglomeration in the eyes of future investors.
Magdalena Okulowska
According to the ARAW's president of the board, the refreshed Invest in Wroclaw project represents new activities, directions and perception of Wroclaw and Lower Silesia, responding to contemporary challenges, such as demography, climate change and infrastructure development.
Expert knowledge for investors
The meeting was also an opportunity to introduce the partners of the Invest in Wroclaw project - CBRE, Michael Page, JP Weber, Atlas Ward and Olesinski & Partners, as well as the premiere release of the publication “Driven by Knowledge, People & Innovation 2024”. It is a reliable compendium of knowledge for investors and entrepreneurs, highlighting the economic potential of the region, in which the partners shared their knowledge, analyses and best practices to help investors better understand local realities and successfully implement their ventures.
In developing the Invest in Wroclaw initiative, we focus on a proactive and comprehensive approach to attracting foreign investors and supporting investments at every stage of their implementation. We are creating dedicated tools and strategies that will allow us to even more effectively promote the capital of Lower Silesia as a dynamically developing economic and technological hub.

State aid in the spotlight
During the meeting, participants were able not only to make interesting connections, but also to learn up-to-date information on state aid. According to Magdalena Tyrakowska-Szymczak, partner at Olesinski & Partners, this is one of the key issues that investors ask about.
They wonder whether they can count on subsidies and state support if they decide to locate an investment in the wroclaw agglomeration. We are glad that we can offer them assistance and make a substantive contribution to the Invest in Wroclaw project in this area.
Magdalena Tyrakowska-Szymczak
