It is now official: on Friday, March 27, 2026, Scanway will make its grand entrance onto the GPW Main Market. Jędrzej Kowalewski, CEO of Scanway S.A., emphasizes that this is a crucial step in the company’s long-term capital market strategy and in building a leading position among Poland’s most significant deep-tech firms.

"Moving to the GPW Main Market is a historic moment for Scanway. We are ready for the next stage of our growth. We want to actively shape the global New Space industry while building long-term value for our shareholders," says Jędrzej Kowalewski, CEO of Scanway S.A.

From NewConnect to the GPW Main Floor

Scanway originally debuted on the NewConnect market on October 11, 2023. Since then, the company has significantly scaled its operations. Its market capitalization has soared from 50 million PLN to over 500 million PLN. In the January-February period of this year alone, trading turnover exceeded 100 million PLN, accounting for over 25% of the entire NewConnect market volume.

"I would like to thank our employees and advisors for their commitment during months of intensive preparation for this debut, as well as all the investors who joined our shareholding structure during our time on NewConnect. The transition to the Main Market is also significant for our operational and technological development. It increases our recognition and credibility in the eyes of international partners," adds Kowalewski.

Scanway in a Billion-Dollar Market

According to recent data from the European Space Policy Institute, the European space sector attracted a record €1.5 billion in private investment in 2024—a 56% year-on-year increase. This represents the highest result in history and the largest single-year jump since 2014.

One of the strongest segments remains Earth observation and orbital data technologies. Scanway S.A. has been developing its expertise in this field for a decade, specializing in the design and integration of optical instruments for space imaging.

Aiming for the Global Top Tier

Scanway’s long-term strategic goal is to join the ranks of the world’s leading commercial integrators of optical payloads. By the end of 2028, the company aims to become one of the largest optical payload integrators in Europe.

Achieving this requires transforming the organization from a provider of bespoke solutions into a serial manufacturer. The goal is to produce over a dozen optical payloads annually, priced between €0.5 million and €2.0 million, catering to the global New Space market.

Wrocław Roots, Global Ambitions

The creators of Scanway were recognized as "30 Creative Minds of Wrocław" back in 2017. In February 2026, the company celebrated its 10th anniversary.

The firm specializes in the entire optical data chain: acquisition, processing, analytics, and event prediction.

  • Space Segment: Provides hardware (telescopes, cameras) and imaging analytics.

  • Industry Segment: Offers image-processing products, including complete quality control systems.

Scanway is one of only a few companies worldwide to have developed complete optoelectronic products for Earth observation from orbit. The company holds key contracts for space hardware both in Poland and internationally.

Currently, it operates STAR VIBE, Poland's longest-running optical observation satellite. Scanway’s solutions were featured in the most significant European and Polish space missions of 2024. This included placing the Scanway Camera System on the maiden flight of the Ariane 6 rocket and delivering Poland's largest-ever telescope (SOP200, weighing approx. 10 kg) for the EagleEye satellite.

In the industrial sector, the company has nearly 50 implementations to its name. As a technological partner for major manufacturers, it develops proprietary AI-driven software and advanced applications for Industry 4.0.

Wrocław in the Space Industry: The Polish NewSpace Market

In February 2026, it was announced that Wrocław joined an elite group of 10 European cities hosting the 11th CASSINI Hackathon—a prestigious event initiated by the European Commission under the auspices of EUSPA and the European Space Agency (ESA).

The rights to organize the Polish edition were won by a consortium led by the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency (ARAW) with the "Startup Wrocław" project and the local firm ChallengeRocket. From April 24–26, 2026, Wrocław will become a hub for innovation, strengthening Lower Silesia's position on the European tech map.

Wrocław’s standing in the space industry continues to grow. In January 2026, the city announced its bid to host a prestigious ESA Technology Center.

It is also worth noting that on January 3, 2023, the Falcon 9 rocket successfully carried the Polish STAR VIBE satellite into orbit—a project designed entirely by Scanway.

Furthermore, in July 2025, it was announced that Scanway would be the first Polish company to provide a telescope for a lunar mission, while also creating a European system for processing images of the Moon.
