The German conglomerate Schumacher Packaging has started another big investment in Krępice near Wrocław (Miękinia administrative district). A high storage warehouse of 36 m in height and the capacity of 20,000 pallets is now under development. According to plans, the new building is to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2016. Schumacher Packaging Group specialises in tailor-made packaging solutions using regular and corrugated cardboard. The enterprise was established in 1948 in Germany, where it owns a total of 8 production plants. In Poland, where it has been operating since 2014, the company has four production units - In Bydgoszcz, Grudziądz and two facilities near Wrocław. Currently, the group employs about 2,600 strong workforce, while its turnover in 2014 amounted to 472 million EUR. For many years, Schumacher Packaging has been one of the market leaders in terms of productivity and technological solutions. The German company's clients include Lorenz Bahlsen Snack World, LG Electronics, Ferrero, Ikea, BMW or Siemens. The existing facility in Krępice near Wrocław was developed in 1999. Originally, it covered an area of 16 thousand sq m, employing 30 workers.
