Space Connect MeetUP is one of a series of meetings held in many cities in Poland, which provides an opportunity to learn about innovations developed for the space sector. It is intended for representatives of companies and mature startups planning to implement new technologies or improve technological processes. However, the participants also included scientists, inventors, and students interested in learning about the possibilities for developing projects at the intersection of the space sector.

This event promotes space sector technologies, encouraging companies that have not yet had any contact with this sector to learn about technologies that have already been developed for space and to see if they can give them a competitive advantage in their industry by building new prototypes or improving production lines.

Not only for space startups

In Wroclaw, participants of the Space Connect MeetUP conference discussed the role of modern technologies in supporting and developing the space and industrial sectors, as well as the financing of innovative ideas. Start-up representatives learned how to launch their projects into “orbit of success” using, among other things, EU and national support programs.

The meeting also featured presentations of advanced optoelectronic solutions for the manufacturing and space industries, satellite systems supporting drought detection and analysis, and the use of satellite data and LLM models in agricultural consulting. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about an innovative VR simulator for vocational training and the latest training technologies for industrial personnel.

We support startups, not only those strictly related to space, satellites, and launch technologies, but also those based on satellite data and creating solutions based on technology transfer from the space sector. Here, we have the opportunity to meet these entrepreneurs locally, find new business ideas, and then support them during the incubation phase.

Contacts that will enable rapid development

As part of the matchmaking, Space Connect MeetUP participants also had the opportunity to meet representatives of space companies, exchange ideas and contacts, which was a potential opportunity to find future project partners, specific products or services for their organizations. They could also see for themselves whether specific solutions from the space sector could help improve processes in their companies.

When we were developing our company, there were no such opportunities for cooperation with the European Space Agency as there are now. Polish entities that currently cooperate with ESA are doing a really great job thanks to this support.
