This year's seventh edition of the event attracted nearly 2,000 people. It was organized under the slogan "Tech Generation". The conference part consisted of three thematic blocks: "Tech Generation", "Empowering Wroclaw Region" and "Transforming the world we know". Each of them included panel discussions, keynote speeches and fireside chats.

Among the topics discussed during the meetings were the investment development of the region, the opportunities and threats posed by artificial intelligence, as well as the future of the automotive industry and changes in the labor market, especially related to new technologies.

Made in Wroclaw: higher attendance year after year

According to Magdalena Okulowska, president of the Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency, the common denominator of Made in Wroclaw is our region.

I'm glad that this venture is developing so beautifully. Not only are there more and more exhibitors, but also the attendance is growing every year. We show what is designed and manufactured by domestic companies and startups, as well as foreign corporations operating in our area. We also promote cooperation between companies, business environment organizations and the world of science. These are interconnected vessels and only cooperation can bring such fantastic results.

Speaking mainly about the future

Meanwhile, according to Jakub Mazur, vice-president of Wroclaw, during Made in Wroclaw, professors, students, business owners and employees, local government officials and representatives of various institutions meet to boast about what is successful in Wroclaw and what will happen in the future.

It is the future that we talk about most here, including artificial intelligence, but also robots that will take care of us in various activities, maybe even at work. We also talk about the science that makes our lives should get a new quality. It is these creators, sometimes crazy ones, that make Wroclaw the Polish Silicon Valley today.

Excellent cooperation helps

During Made in Wroclaw, the economy and development of Lower Silesia were also discussed.

- The last 10 years in Wroclaw and Lower Silesia have seen more than PLN 10 billion in foreign direct investment, as well as more than 30,000 jobs. As for the last 3 years, we have declared foreign investments of 7 billion euros. If it were not for the excellent cooperation between local and government units, this would be impossible. Meanwhile, everything is going perfectly," said Piotr Dudko, vice president of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

A chance to touch the most modern technologies

However, Made in Wroclaw is not only an event for entrepreneurs, innovators and scientists. The EXPO exhibition also attracted hundreds of residents who wanted to see with their own eyes what local companies were working on.

I came here with my son because we wanted to see real robots. My son especially liked the robot-dog, but also the wonderful game machines and the tattoo equipment, which you could tattoo on bananas. It's great to be able to experience such technological innovations in person at least once a year.

The organizers of the event were the Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency and the city of Wroclaw. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency was the strategic partner.
