A student from Secondary School No. 3 in Wroclaw wins the AI Olympics in Beijing. Well done!

A huge success! Krzysztof Rojek, a student of mathematics and university studies at Secondary School No. 3 in Wroclaw, won a gold medal at the 2nd Artificial Intelligence Olympics in Beijing.
The final of the International Olympiad in AI, which took place in Beijing, was attended by the eight best competitors. Among them was Krzysztof, who received a gold medal.
It's an amazing feeling. Three years ago, I became interested in artificial intelligence purely out of curiosity, without knowing where it would lead me. Participating in this Olympiad turned out to be the best adventure of my life.

The Olympiad was attended by 284 participants from over 60 countries, who had to face a variety of challenges in the fields of machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing.
“The competitors not only created numerous algorithms, but also trained complex AI models to solve tasks inspired by real-world problems, from data analysis and image recognition to text processing” explains Krzysztof.
We are extremely proud of our son and the entire team. We knew very well how much progress the boys had made over the past year and how strong the team was that went to Beijing, but we were still surprised by such a spectacular victory. We are extremely happy that Krzysiek was able to participate in such a unique event, because the Olympics are not only a competition, but also an opportunity to get to know another country and its culture, as well as a chance to exchange experiences and meet enthusiasts from all over the world.

Maciej Kawecki: one of the best results in history
“This is one of the best results in the history of Poland's participation in the Olympics. He beat representatives from 61 countries, including the US and China, which spend billions on AI education” writes renowned technology journalist Maciej Kawecki.
Krzysztof, I am deeply moved and congratulate you on what you have done. This is absolutely amazing. Be an inspiration to thousands of young Poles that to want is to be able.

Tomasz Cygal, director of High School No. 3: I think a team will be formed
As the director and a graduate of the school, I am very proud that our student won the 2nd Artificial Intelligence Olympiad. Krzysztof worked in a large team during the earlier stages of the Olympiad, which was organized by the University of Wrocław. A lot of people are really interested in artificial intelligence at the moment. I think that as soon as Krzysztof returns from Beijing, a team will form around him to prepare for the next Olympiads, and there will be even more successes.

What is the IOAI?
It is an international artificial intelligence competition for high school students, consisting of two rounds: a scientific round (solving offline and on-site tasks) and a practical round (creating a visual project using AI tools).
Krzysztof, congratulations!
