The 3M Shared Services Center has been operating in Wrocław for 10 years!
It has been a decade since 3M launched its Shared Services Center in the capital of Lower Silesia, serving all of the company's branches in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. A ceremony was held on Friday, June 6, to celebrate a unique anniversary in Wrocław. The event was attended by members of the company's management board, its employees, and representatives of the city.
On Friday, June 6, 2025, the 10th anniversary of 3M Global Service Center (GSC) Poland was celebrated at the company's headquarters at ul. Powstańców Śląskich 9. Representatives of business, science, and the city attended the ceremony. It provided an opportunity to summarize 3M's activities in Poland and Wrocław up to this point.
The only place of its kind in Europe
As Piotr Skaldawski, managing director of 3M in Poland, said, the company's presence in Wrocław began with the purchase of the local Viscoplast S.A. factory, a manufacturer of, among other things, plasters and medical dressings, which was modernized and then used to launch the production of new 3M medical products.
Wrocław has allowed us to understand that this is the place where we want to live and work. Today, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the GSC in this city. I would like to emphasize that we only have three such centers in the world, and the one in Wrocław is the only one in Europe.

According to Jacek Szulc, director of 3M GSC Poland, it is one of the strongest service centers not only in Wrocław, but also in Poland.

Representatives of the Wrocław local government also congratulated the company's management and employees. Jakub Mazur, Deputy Mayor of Wrocław, did not hide his admiration for the atmosphere there.

The Shared Services Center (3M Global Service Center) located in the capital of Lower Silesia serves all 3M branches in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as a modern Research and Development Center, where over 200 scientists develop new products. Wrocław is also home to the 3M Innovation Center and Training Center, a 2,000 sq m laboratory where the company's products can be tested.
