The construction of Mercedes-Benz plant in Jawor has commenced

The construction works on the future Mercedes-Benz engines manufacture in Jawor has started. The long-awaited and important for the Jawor region investment is to be completed in the mid-2019. A few days after obtaining the construction permit, Strabag Polska, responsible for the execution of the first stage of construction works, has commenced the work on the site of the future manufacture at ul. Cukrownicza in Jawor. The first four-cylinder new generation engines for all Mercedes-Benz models will be produced in the mid-2019. 500 million euro and 500 new jobs The value of investment of Daimler AG corporation in the Special Economic Zone of Wałbrzych will amount to 500 million euro. Thanks to the plant only, 500 new jobs will be created. The training for Polish engineers will take place in engine plant in Untertürkheim and in Kölleda plant in Thuringia. Experienced employees from Germany will come to Poland to share their experience with Polish team. The programme of trainings includes also a close cooperation with vocational schools.
