- Every investor is important to us and his project is interesting. Last year, we issued 56 decisions to support investments in the zones we manage. These are the most decisions among all zone managing authorities. One of them is the decision to support LG Energy Solution - a leading manufacturer of EV batteries. As a result, the largest EV battery factory in the world is being built in our zone in Kobierzyce near Wrocław. This is a foreign investment in the strategic electromobility industry - says Cezariusz Lesisz, president of the Industrial Development Agency S.A.

- Last year's investments attracted to the zones of the Industrial Development Agency S.A. investments with a declared value of over PLN 2.5 billion, creating a minimum of 1,052 jobs. Most of the investments are the purchase of modern machines and production lines increasing production efficiency. The year 2021 at the Industrial Development Agency S.A. means further work on the preparation of new investment areas such as Euro-Park Ząbkowice or preparation of land for new investors in Stalowa Wola and Tarnobrzeg - adds Paweł Kolczyński, vice president of the Agency.

LG Energy Solution started its first investment in an EV battery factory in Poland in 2016. Due to the significant increase in demand for batteries for electric vehicles, the next stage began in 2017. The third stage of construction started in spring 2019. It is to be completed at the end of 2021. At the same time, in August last year, LG Energy Solution submitted an application to support the fourth stage of construction of the factory in Kobierzyce. As a result, the largest EV battery factory in the world will be built in Kobierzyce.
