The new Digital Hub becomes Toyota's second business center in Wrocław. This year, the facility will employ 100 highly qualified specialists, with plans to increase the workforce to 200 employees by 2030.

Toyota Digital Hub is much more than an office—it is a center of excellence for digital services, where around 200 specialists will continuously enhance our MyToyota and LexusLink+ customer applications. They will also work on cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity. Shinichi Yasui, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Europe.

The applications developed at the hub enable customers to remotely operate their vehicles, monitor battery charge levels, and access a wide range of features designed to improve convenience and the overall ownership experience.

The Wrocław-based team will also help build and maintain the cloud infrastructure supporting Toyota and Lexus connected services across Europe while contributing to cybersecurity initiatives.

"Our goal is to provide simpler, better, and safer digital services for our customers" Yasui added.

Opening a New Chapter for Toyota

Yasui emphasized that Poland has become one of Toyota's key locations in Europe. He also expressed gratitude to the Polish government, local authorities, and academic institutions whose support helped make the investment possible.

Meanwhile, Luis Lopes, Vice President for Information Technology at Toyota Motor Europe, highlighted that the success of the new hub will depend above all on the people working there and their willingness to learn, collaborate, and innovate.

"Toyota is renowned for manufacturing excellence. Today, however, mobility is increasingly driven by data. I hope the people working in our Wrocław hub will help write a new chapter in Toyota's European story by creating even better digital solutions." Lopes said.

Thierry Boitel, Vice President for Research and Development at Toyota Motor Europe, noted that the company is currently transforming itself into a mobility services provider.

"The role of the Wrocław hub will be crucial in this transformation, as it will support the development of new digital products for Toyota and Lexus vehicles." he said.

Toyota's Second Business Center in Wrocław

Toyota Digital Hub is the company's second business operation in Wrocław. Since 2015, the city has also been home to Toyota's Shared Services Center, which provides accounting support and tax advisory services for the company's European operations. The center currently employs around 120 people.

Beyond Wrocław, Toyota operates two manufacturing plants in Lower Silesia one in Wałbrzych, established in 2002, and another in Jelcz-Laskowice, opened in 2005. These facilities currently produce engines and components for hybrid vehicles.

According to Marcin Król, Senior HR Manager at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland, the decision to establish the Digital Hub in Wrocław was a strategic one.

"We chose Wrocław because it has established itself as one of Poland's leading hubs for both IT and research and development. The city ranks among the country's top locations in these fields, and its education system is closely aligned with the needs of business—something that is extremely important to Toyota." Król explained.
