  • Unity Group, a market leader in the digital transformation of commerce in Poland, generated more than PLN 120 million in consolidated net sales revenues in 2022 (up 83% year-on-year) with EBITDA above 10% and a steadily growing scale of foreign operations.
  • The group's goal for this year is, among other things, to intensify its business development activities and increase revenues up to PLN 140-150 million. Unity Group also wants to invest more and more in international expansion; in order to boost growth outside Poland - in the DACH area - it is considering building its own branch and/or expanding through acquisitions in that market.

The year 2022 was very successful for Unity Group. The group once again increased its annual sales at a near triple-digit rate, reaching more than PLN 120 million in consolidated net sales at the end of last year (up 83% year-on-year). At the same time, it demonstrated the positive effects of its work on increasing profitability - the EBITDA margin for 2022 exceeded 10%.

Large increases in the country

Our plans for 2022 were more than met. We aimed to achieve PLN 115 million, and exceeded the level of PLN 120 million in consolidated net revenues. Global4Net, which was acquired at the beginning of 2022, also contributed to our results. International operations also weighed more and more in the group's results, with high growth rates throughout last year. The record results for 2022 have built good room for further growth this year as well.

Marek Lose, CFO and Managing Partner at Unity Group.

Unity Group's chosen role as a partner in the digital transformation of businesses has proven itself in a turbulent economic environment caused by, among other things, the outbreak of war in Ukraine or the energy crisis. Companies, increasingly, are recognizing the economic benefits of digitizing their business models and launching efficient sales channels as part of an omnichannel approach. They are also aware of the value brought by an experienced partner such as Unity Group, which has been implementing transformation projects for 25 years, not only from the level of technology implementation, but also from the perspective of clients' business strategy.

Also contributing to Unity Group's record performance is the business of Global4Net, which achieved annual net revenues in excess of PLN 18 million, a year-on-year increase of more than 70% on a standalone basis.

“The results of Global4Net and the group as a whole confirm the rightness of the acquisition decision and the realization of the anticipated synergies resulting from the combined potentials of the two organizations. Working together, we are the largest Magento provider in Poland, which makes it easier for us to win large projects that require rapid scaling of the team and taking on non-standard challenges." adds Marek Lose.

… and abroad

With each passing year, Unity Group is consolidating its position as a leader in the digital transformation of commerce in Poland, but at the same time it is also consistently and increasingly making its presence felt abroad. As a result, operations in international markets have already brought the group more than PLN 20 million in the whole of 2022, while in 2021 it accounted for PLN 13 million in turnover. Among the more important projects carried out by Unity Group are those conducted for renowned clients from the USA, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, France, Finland and Israel.

The Polish market still has a lot of potential for growth, but our offerings are similarly successful in meeting the needs of foreign partners who recommend our services to other companies. Therefore, we are planning further expansion abroad and we are now focusing our efforts on building our own sales channel in the DACH market. At the same time, we are actively looking for acquisition opportunities to further accelerate our growth in this region.

Unity Group as an investor in the technology market

In addition to the strategic directions being pursued - offering comprehensive end-to-end services in the transformation of trade in the home market and expansion in the DACH market, Unity Group is also an investor in the new technology sector. For the past 4 years, it has been developing and supporting the ONe B2B project - a platform for sales and relationship management in the B2B channel - with capital and know-how transfer. The company has now moved out of the start-up phase and has begun the business scaling stage, acquiring 50 customers, making it the most widely deployed B2B system in the CEE region. Thus, Unity Group's investment thesis, as one of the project's initiators, has been confirmed.

Roadmap 2023: on target for cloud, data and AI, among others

Unity Group does not intend to slow down. Expanding its offer with modern solutions, it is targeting a level of PLN 140-150 million in revenue by the end of this year, up 25% more than in 2022. How will it accomplish this?

Dostrzegamy tu duże zainteresowanie klientów i znaczący potencjał wzrostu – tłumaczy Grzegorz Rudno-Rudziński, Head of Growth oraz Managing Partner w Unity Group. - Niewykluczone są także kolejne akwizycje grupy, w szczególności w obszarach zgodnych z roadmapą strategicznych kierunków rozwoju Unity Group – dodaje Grzegorz Rudno-Rudziński.

“The market and our customers are in a process of constant change, so our offer is also being modified - we are adding elements that can bring new business benefits to our partners. We are betting on the development of the cloud area, MACH architecture and composable commerce. Further investment in data solutions and artificial intelligence will also be an important pillar of growth. We see a lot of customer interest and significant growth potential here," explains Grzegorz Rudno-Rudziński, Head of Growth and Managing Partner at Unity Group. “Further acquisitions of the group are also not excluded, particularly in areas in line with Unity Group's roadmap of strategic development directions,” Grzegorz Rudno-Rudziński adds.
