Big life changes, feminism and functioning in a crisis situation are the main topics of this year's Wroclaw Women's Forum that will take place on June 23rd in Concordia Design on Slodowa Island. This is the first edition of the event after a two-year break caused by the pandemic.
The Wroclaw Women's Forum is a cyclical event intended not only for women but for everyone who is interested in their issues. It was held for the first time in 2013 and has become a regular event in the calendar of events taking place in the capital city of Lower Silesia.
Interesting guests, inspiring panelists
Each time the Wroclaw Women's Forum touches upon important, current and difficult issues. The speakers are always interesting and inspiring people who are experts in their fields and work for women's rights. They are usually representatives of business, medicine, science and art.
This year the Wroclaw Women's Forum will be hosted by Joanna Orleanska and Barbara Mroz-Gorgon. Panelists will include Magdalena Okulowska - President of ARAW, Ewa Nowak - Iskra - Director of the Lower Silesia Region of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, Anna Apel - President of the "Save the Children with Cancer" Foundation, Monika Chudobska - Vice-President of Impel SA, prof. They will talk about the opportunities and perspectives facing women
The guiding themes of this year's event will be issues related to feminism and the functioning of women in their private, political, economic and social lives. Participants will talk about the opportunities and perspectives that lie ahead of them and about their rights.
We will talk about feminism in an open way, without prejudices and compromises. We will show its pillars, i.e. freedom and equality, both in professional and private terms. Another important topic will be the role of women in crisis situations, especially in the context of the war in Ukraine.
The glass ceiling, feminism and major life changes
The program of the 7th Wroclaw Women's Forum includes such panels as "Powerful change - how to get through it", "Breaking the glass ceiling", "Women's power of survival. Women's present and future", "Feminism vs. chauvinism", "Semantics game. Words have power." Meetings and conversations of the event participants, taking place during coffee breaks and refreshments, will surely be important as well.
