They will design fridges and dishwashers, their ideas will be implemented and produced in factories all over the world. Whirlpool Corporation announced opening of a global R&D Centre in Wrocław. The company is looking for 60 engineers and constructors. Till the end of 2018 the concern will invest in Wrocław EUR 126 million. New plans were presented on the 15th of November 2016 during a special press conference with presence of Rafał Dutkiewicz- the president of Wrocław and Whirlpool’s representatives. The company will open in Wrocław its global R&D Centre for refrigeration and dishwashers. New project of Whirlpool Corporation shows that we appreciate Wrocław for its investment attractiveness and its huge potential. Also the high quality of education has an important role, that is why we predict stronger cooperation with local universities – says Roberta Segalini, HR Director Whirlpool GPO EMEA & Global Platforms. The representatives of the company highlighted that in years 2015-2018 Whirlpool will invest in Poland EUR 235 million, from which EUR 126 million will be aimed to Wrocław. Whirlpool is looking for 60 engineers and constructors People employed in Wrocław Whirlpool’s centre will design and create fridges and dishwashers produced under all Whirlpool brands. Technologies created in Wrocław will be implemented all over the world – mainly in factories in both Americas. The recruitment process for the global R&D Centre for refrigeration will start in few weeks. The company is looking for people who will work under multiregional projects (material engineers, electronical engineers, mechanical and structural constructors). Important element of the centre will be cooperation with students during internships. They will have possibility to check and develop their skills.
