Wrocław and Lower Silesia at the Forefront of Change

The capital of Lower Silesia is solidifying its position among the top three most important centers of modern business in the country, according to the latest research by ABSL (Association of Business Services Leaders). This is the result of both an influx of new investments and the continued growth of companies that have been operating in Wrocław for years.

Wrocław has been attracting investors for years, but it is equally important that companies already operating here want to continue expanding their teams and investing right here. This is thanks to the people—well-educated specialists, our universities, and the city’s openness to new technologies. Today, Wrocław is one of Europe’s centers for modern services, IT, and artificial intelligence projects.

ABSL’s analysis shows that the dynamic growth of the regional capital has a positive impact on the entire province, which is becoming an important hub on the map of Europe.

Record Profits and Stable Jobs

Modern office and technology businesses in Poland are no longer merely a support system for foreign companies—today, Polish specialists manage global business processes. This is clearly evident in the latest ABSL publications:

6.1% of GDP—that is the sector’s current share of the Polish economy,
$48.4 billion—this is the record value reached by exports of these services in 2025
half a million jobs—that’s how many people across Poland are already employed in this industry (nearly 8% of all employees in Polish companies).

Importantly for employees, work in these centers is becoming increasingly challenging. Traditional, repetitive tasks are being replaced by advanced projects requiring specialized knowledge. According to ABSL research, the average employee now generates $10,000 more in profit for the company than a year ago.

The AI Revolution: Artificial Intelligence Is a Game-Changer

As many as 85% of company executives in this industry admit that they have already implemented generative artificial intelligence (often abbreviated to GenAI) in their offices. This is a branch of AI that, instead of merely analyzing existing data, is capable of creating entirely new content.
AI is no longer just a support tool; it is becoming a real performer of simpler tasks.
As a result, employees can focus on more challenging, specialized projects.

According to ABSL forecasts, by 2030, most offices will move away from rigid structures in favor of a flexible division of tasks, where specific skills will matter more than just a job title.

Interestingly, the industry isn’t complaining about a shortage of workers. Only a minimal percentage of managers (0.5%) see this as a problem. The sector currently relies on experienced people—more than half of employees are over 35 years old.

ABSL has no doubt that training will be the key challenge in the coming years. It is estimated that by 2030, every other employee will need to upgrade their qualifications or learn new tools related to data analysis and automation.
