Wroclaw at EXPO REAL 2026 in Munich. The new master plan aims to attract investors
Wrocław showcased its investment opportunities at EXPO REAL in Munich, one of Europe’s most important real estate trade fairs. The city attended the event alongside partners from Lower Silesia. Its proposals for investors are based on the recently adopted master plan. The EXPO REAL trade show took place in Munich from October 5–7, 2026. It is one of the most important events in Europe dedicated to commercial real estate and investments. Wrocław was certainly there.
Wrocław at EXPO REAL 2026. Who represented the city and the region?
The city was represented by officials from the Wrocław City Hall and the Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency. Also present were representatives of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone, the Legnica Special Economic Zone, and the Industrial Development Agency. Support was provided by the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and Lower Silesian companies.
At the Wrocław booth, prepared by the City of Wrocław and ARAW, municipal properties for sale were showcased. The goal was to promote Wrocław among foreign investors and establish new contacts. The booth was very popular.
This year’s offering from Wrocław is very diverse, but above all, it is based on the city’s newly adopted master plan, which offers great opportunities for investors.
Grzegorz Roman, Vice Mayor of Wrocław.

Expo Real in Munich is a long-standing real estate trade fair, popular not only in Europe but around the world. This is our second time here, showcasing Wrocław’s investment opportunities, but we’re part of a larger Lower Silesian family. Joining us are, among others, the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone and the Industrial Development Agency, so that together we can promote the best that Lower Silesia has to offer.
Magdalena Okulowska, president of ARAW.

Other Polish cities and regions also showcased their investment opportunities at the trade fair. In addition to Wrocław, these included Warsaw, Łódź, and Upper Silesia.
EXPO REAL 2026 by the Numbers
According to the organizer, this year’s edition attracted over 42,000 people from 74 countries. 1,777 exhibitors from 37 countries presented their offerings.
Compared to 2025, the number of exhibitors increased by about 2 percent (1,777 instead of 1,742). The number of countries represented also rose. This shows that the trade fair remains an important meeting place for the international real estate market.
What Was Discussed at EXPO REAL?
The most common topics of discussion were how to finance investments, housing affordability, construction costs, and the future of the commercial real estate market. Participants also discussed infrastructure, changes in the energy sector, and digitalization, as well as what is needed to get new projects off the ground. The program included a special InfrastructureNow zone dedicated to infrastructure investments.

The market continues to grapple with high construction costs and the requirements of banks and other financing institutions. Projects must also be adapted to changing economic conditions and regulations. Therefore, key topics of discussion included whether investments would be profitable and whether it would be easy to secure financing for them. More exhibitors do not automatically mean more deals or a return to the boom times.
Why do cities attend EXPO REAL?
EXPO REAL is a meeting place for investors, developers, banks, consulting firms, property managers, and representatives of local governments and public administration. Most importantly, it provides an opportunity to discuss specific projects directly, along with their financing and the business environment in a given city or country.
