Wroclaw Mayor's Awards presented. Companies honoured at the 34th Economic Forum in Karpacz

During the 34th Economic Forum in Karpacz, as every year, the Wroclaw Mayor's Awards were presented. This year, they went to Capgemini Polska, Piekarnia Hert and Pyszne.pl. ‘These are companies that do not only focus on profit, but also build and support communities,’ said Jacek Sutryk, Mayor of Wroclaw, during his speech at the gala.
The Wroclaw Mayor's Awards are presented at the Economic Forum in the ‘Socially Responsible Business’ category.
‘Four years ago, we decided to draw your attention to companies that not only focus on profit and build the economic fabric, but also build communities, their cohesion, and engage in sports, cultural, environmental and social activities’ emphasised Jacek Sutryk, Mayor of Wroclaw.

Capgemini Polska
The first award was received on stage by Grzegorz Wołodko, Vice President, Head of GDC Application Business Line at Capgemini Polska. The company employs 2,500 people, as emphasised by its deputy director. Capgemini is involved in environmental activities, including tree planting and educational programmes.
‘These are important initiatives that we are building with and for our clients. We want to develop the company and give our people opportunities for growth. For us, this award is motivation to continue our work,’ said Director Wołodko as he accepted the award.

On behalf of the owners of Hert Bakery, Anna and Piotr Nowicki, the award was received by the mayor of Jelcz-Laskowice, Piotr Stajszczyk. The Nowickis founded their company in Jelcz-Laskowice. They started with one outlet 30 years ago. Today, they have over 240.
Today, the company employs 1,600 people and is involved in the social life of the community, in sports and culture. I am glad that a family-owned company has been recognised at the Economic Forum. There are many such companies, and they also deserve support.

HERT Bakery, founded in 1994, is a family-owned company with Polish capital. The quality and customer loyalty to the brand are confirmed by numerous service quality certificates. The company already operates over 240 of its own points of sale, employing 1,600 people.

Pyszne.pl
Another winner of the Wroclaw Mayor's Award is Pyszne.pl, which recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. The award was received by the company's co-founder and Managing Director, Arkadiusz Krupicz, who confessed that he built this powerhouse in a small flat in Wroclaw. Today, millions of Poles use the services of Pyszne.pl.
‘Our heart still beats in Wroclaw, which creates certain conditions and motivates us to innovate and develop. We greatly appreciate our cooperation with the city,’ said Director Krupicz.

Pyszne.pl is a company offering an online ordering service, mainly associated with food delivery. It was founded in 2010 in Wroclaw.
It supports restaurants in implementing environmentally friendly solutions, such as plastic-free packaging. It reduces its carbon footprint by using couriers on bicycles.
The company is involved in educational activities for its partners through a free Guide to Sustainable Development. It also works to reduce food waste and ensures the safety of its couriers. In cooperation with cities, it actively supports local initiatives.
Gala in the congress hall of the Gołębiewski Hotel
The gala, which took place at 7:30 p.m. on the 7th floor of the Gołębiewski Hotel in Karpacz, began with a concert by the Lower Silesian Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra. The musicians started with a well-known theme from Fiddler on the Roof, and then played many hits from the world of corporate music. After 10 p.m., Justyna Steczkowska appeared on stage to give a concert for FE participants.
In addition to the Wroclaw Mayor's Award, the Józef Oleksy Award, named after the Marshal of Lower Silesia, was presented on stage, along with a special award, which this year went to Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski.
