WrocUP Mentoring is a new initiative by Startup Wroclaw aimed at B2B startups that already have a working product (MVP), their first customers, and are facing the next, often most difficult stage of development, namely scaling sales.

Real support instead of theory

The program was created for teams that do not need theory, but practical support based on real business experience. Unlike classic accelerators, WrocUP Mentoring is based on workshop work in a small group of carefully selected startups, led by one mentor.

The aim of the program is to create a repeatable sales model, stable revenues, and prepare teams for talks with investors. The first edition of this project has just been launched and, as both the organizers and participants emphasize, it is already bringing its first results.

Exceptionally experienced mentors

Maciej Szott, one of the most experienced practitioners in the field of building and scaling B2B companies in Poland, became the mentor of the inaugural edition.

He has been developing technology and manufacturing companies for over 18 years. During his career, he has created four companies, two of which have achieved revenues exceeding €12 million per year, and successfully sold one of them in an M&A transaction to a leading European group.

He specializes in guiding organizations through the transformation process: from start-up chaos to corporate transparency.

His effectiveness in scaling is confirmed by numerous international awards – the teams he manages have been included six times in the prestigious rankings of the fastest-growing technology companies: Deloitte Fast 50, Deloitte Fast 500, and Financial Times 1000.

Today, Maciej Szott focuses his energy on supporting other companies in their development, believing that the key to success lies in small, exceptional teams that have the courage to make difficult decisions and focus on what really matters.

As part of the program, the mentor not only shares his knowledge, but also gives teams ambitious challenges and supports them in making key business decisions.

The best have qualified

Startups representing various industries, from AI and SaaS to hardware and electromobility, have qualified for the first edition of WrocUP Mentoring. These include:

Recruo – a technology platform whose mission is to fundamentally change the way modern organizations attract, evaluate, and develop employees. Using advanced artificial intelligence, it automates recruitment and development processes, making them more objective and effective.

Veltify – a platform that helps outsourcing companies manage their talent pool and automatically generate CVs. This modern Talent Data Management platform, created specifically for consulting companies, outsourcing agencies, and software houses, aims to organize data about talent (consultants) and automate the process of preparing offers for clients.

HEROS Motorcycles - a Polish brand of premium electric motorcycles, which grew out of the passion and engineering precision of a team associated with the Wrocław University of Technology. The company continues the legacy of the creators of Poland's first electric racing motorcycle, transforming academic innovations into professional off-road equipment.

BinderLess - a CDE (Common Data Environment) platform that revolutionizes the way documentation is managed in the construction industry. Using advanced artificial intelligence (AI), it brings the traditional construction site into the digital age, eliminating paper chaos and speeding up decision-making processes by up to 50%.

Six months of intensive work

The first WrocUP Mentoring meeting has already taken place, and participants have begun six months of intensive work. Although the details of the workshops remain confidential, the organizers emphasize that from the very beginning, the program has focused on real sales and strategic challenges.

We were looking for a way to improve our sales strategy and reach customers faster. We heard that Maciej Szott was someone definitely worth talking to.

Kacper Sławecki, Head of Sales at BinderLess

I had the opportunity to hear Maciek speak for the first time at the UPGRADE conference a year ago, and even then he showed that he could really challenge people. Today, we have already had our first mentoring conversations, and it's really great.

Tomasz Gmur from Veltify

WrocUP Mentoring shows that effective support for startups does not have to mean large lecture halls and crowds; sometimes all you need is an experienced mentor, a small group, and work on specific numbers and decisions. It is an initiative that can become an important point on the route of the Wrocław and nationwide startup ecosystem.
