This is where ideas come to life. Wroclaw Technology Park at the forefront of Polish tech parks

It supports innovative Lower Silesian companies, helps start-ups, and develops cooperation between science and business. Wroclaw Technology Park has proven to be one of the five most important centers of its kind in Poland. A report has just been published showing their impact on the development of the country's economy and competitiveness in an era of global uncertainty.
The first Polish technology parks were established 30 years ago. Although their importance for the economy is constantly growing, their role in building an innovative ecosystem is sometimes underestimated. A report on the activities of the five leading technology parks in Poland has just been published.
Unique support for Polish innovation
The publication provides hard data on the impact of parks on innovation, startup scaling, and entrepreneurship development. It was created as part of the Technology Parks Consortium, whose goal is to create a modern model for the functioning of these centers for the coming decades. The report was prepared by five leading Polish technology parks. In addition to the Wrocław Technology Park (WPT), it also includes the Poznań Science and Technology Park, the Kraków Technology Park, the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia, and the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park.
According to Maciej Potocki, president of the Wrocław Technology Park (WPT), cooperation within the Technology Parks Consortium has resulted in a report which, for the first time, comprehensively shows the impact of such centers on the country's development and innovation in Poland.
Technology parks are not just infrastructure—they are spaces where entrepreneurship flourishes, groundbreaking ideas are born, and companies ready to scale up and compete on international markets mature. Our role today is not only to support but also to lead technological change in Poland.

Support for startups and SMEs
The report shows that technology parks are a key element of support for innovative enterprises. In 2023, 635 companies were operating in the analyzed parks, including 150 new tenants, mainly high-tech startups with the greatest potential for dynamic growth and international expansion.
The companies operating in these centers have a significant impact on the economy, both in terms of revenue generated and job creation. At the end of 2023, they employed over 7,400 people, and since 2019, 2,600 new specialized jobs have been created there. As many as 95% of companies generate revenue from the sale of their products and services, and the average annual revenue is PLN 8.1 million.
Investments in research and development
The report also highlights the role of technology parks in supporting research and development activities. In 2023, 16% of companies used EU funds for R&D projects, which were worth a total of PLN 1.7 billion. These companies filed 92 patents and 14 utility models, which proves their contribution to the development of a knowledge-based economy.
The five leading technology parks offer a total infrastructure area of 216,500 m², of which nearly 30% is office and co-working space. These centers also have specialized laboratories, prototyping facilities, and production spaces that enable advanced research and development work.
Technology parks support the development of talent and technology, promoting knowledge transfer and the scaling of startups. Thanks to global networks, they open doors to international markets.
