A new product, a prototype, specialized research, or the launch of production—carrying out such projects requires not only a good idea and expertise, but often also access to advanced laboratories and expensive equipment. Companies developing their projects in the capital of Lower Silesia do not have to build the entire infrastructure on their own. They can take advantage of it at the Wrocław Technology Park.
The path from an idea to a finished product often involves laboratories, testing, prototyping, and costly technological processes. For many companies, however, establishing their own facilities for such work would be too large an investment. An alternative is to use existing infrastructure. The Wrocław Technology Park (WPT) provides entrepreneurs with laboratories, specialized equipment, and facilities that enable them to conduct research and develop new products without having to invest in their own facilities and equipment.
Space for Research, Testing, and Development
WPT’s offerings are primarily aimed at companies developing innovative products, technologies, and services. They can be utilized by both young companies and startups that are just beginning to work on their first solution, as well as experienced companies carrying out research and development projects, implementing new technologies, or preparing to scale up their operations.
Our infrastructure is used by companies operating in fields such as chemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food, electronics, new materials, automation, engineering, and modern manufacturing technologies. This offering also addresses the needs of research and development teams seeking a place to conduct tests, validate solutions, build prototypes, or carry out short production runs.

Specialized infrastructure ready to be used
The scope of cooperation with the Wrocław Technology Park depends on the company’s needs and the stage of its project. Entrepreneurs can commission WPT specialists to perform specific tests or analyses, use selected equipment, and rent a laboratory or specialized space to conduct their own work. In practice, this means that support can range from a single measurement or test to a more complex, long-term research, technology, or production project.
Companies have access to, among other things, chemical, biotechnology, and electronics laboratories; clean rooms; and specialized research and measurement equipment. These facilities enable chemical and materials analyses, the examination of sample composition, measurements and imaging, as well as quality control of products and processes.
WPT also provides access to technologies useful during the design and prototyping stages of new solutions. Companies can take advantage of services such as 3D scanning and printing, computed tomography, waterjet cutting, and specialized engineering services. This enables them to carry out various stages of work in a single location—from research and testing, through prototype development, to activities preceding product implementation.
For many companies, this means the ability to begin work on a product without having to incur high costs for purchasing equipment, setting up laboratory facilities, or maintaining their own technological infrastructure. Collaboration with the Wrocław Technology Park is not limited to providing access to laboratories or specialized equipment. Companies can also draw on the knowledge and experience of WPT experts, who support them at various stages of developing a new product or technology.
This assistance can begin as early as the concept development stage and then extend to research, testing, prototyping, process improvement, or preparing the solution for implementation. The scope of support is determined on a case-by-case basis—depending on the specifics of the project, the company’s needs, and the stage of development of the work being conducted.
This allows the company to access specific resources and expertise exactly when they are needed. It enables the company to test its assumptions, assess the potential of a new solution, and identify any potential problems before deciding on a larger investment or launching production on a broader scale.
New Laboratory Coming Next Year
Thanks to European Union funding, WPT’s offerings will soon be expanded to include specialized measurement services for companies developing products, prototypes, and manufacturing processes.
In the new laboratory, it will be possible to:
- perform precise measurements of part geometry with an accuracy of less than 10 micrometers,
- test surface roughness,
- measure the hardness of materials and components,
- and use automated color 3D scanning.
These services will enable companies to verify the compliance of components with technical documentation, control quality at various stages of production, assess the durability and resistance of materials, and create digital models of objects for the purposes of design, prototyping, reverse engineering, and further production work.
The new laboratory is scheduled to open in 2027. The new infrastructure will be another component of WPT’s comprehensive support system, helping companies develop and implement innovative products and technologies.
