The Lower Silesian Keys of Success were handed out. Several of them were awarded to Wroclaw
On Thursday, November 7, a ceremony was held in Sleza to award the Lower Silesian Keys of Success. Among the winners were well-known Wroclaw citizens. However, a special award for 40 years of activity was given to the Regional Specialized Hospital in Wroclaw. This was the 28th edition of this event.
The Lower Silesian Key of Success has been awarded since 1997. It is a promotional emblem of the region, being one of the highest regional awards. For years it has enjoyed recognition in both economic, cultural and local government circles. The competition's jury pays special attention to the operation of candidates in their immediate environment.
Statuettes awarded in seven categories
The Lower Silesian Key of Success is awarded in seven categories:
- The greatest personality in the promotion of Lower Silesia
- For outstanding achievements in scientific and educational work
- For outstanding achievements in culture and the arts
- For outstanding achievements in local government activities
- For the best non-governmental organization in Lower Silesia
- For the best tourist enterprise or organizer of mass cultural events
- For the Lower Silesian company that cooperates best with the local community
Several awards came to Wroclaw
This year, during a gala ceremony held at a multifunctional facility in Sleza, Kobierzyce municipality, the Lower Silesia Key of Success was awarded to, among others, Prof. Marian Noga, as the greatest personality in the promotion of the region, as well as Tomasz Urbanowicz - architect and glass artist, winner of the plebiscite of 30 Creatives of Wroclaw 2021, for outstanding achievements in culture and art.
On the other hand, Izabela Koziej - headmistress of High School No. 9 in Wroclaw - was awarded for her tremendous achievements in scientific and educational work.
The statue for the best non-governmental organization in Lower Silesia went to Stefan Mirowski's Lower Silesian Scouting and Guiding Organization (ZHP), while Zbigniew Lopusiewicz, mayor of Stronie Slaskie, was recognized for outstanding achievements in local government activity.
In turn, the Lower Silesian Key of Success in the category of Best Tourist Venture or Organizer of Mass Recreational and Sports Events went to the Cyprian Kamil Norwid Municipal Public Library - Knowledge Center in Boleslawiec.
Meanwhile, the owners of Topacz Castle - Dorota Michalak-Kurzewska and Tomasz Kurzewski - were awarded for the best cooperation with the local community.
Wroclaw hospital and flood protection were appreciated
Special awards were also given during this year's event. They were given to the co-creators and crew of the Racibórz Dolny Reservoir in gratitude for protection against flooding, and to the Regional Specialized Hospital in Wroclaw on the occasion of its 40th anniversary.
The strategic partner of the event is the Association for the Promotion of Lower Silesia.
