Wroclaw space technologies in Oman. Space station established in the desert

SatRev, a company specializing in space technologies, has just delivered a modern ground station for satellite communication to a customer in the Middle East. This is another step in the global expansion of the Wroclaw-based company, which is successfully developing its projects in orbit and on Earth.
SatRev is an innovative New Space company based in the capital of Lower Silesia, specializing in the design, construction, and operation of nanosatellites and entire satellite constellations. It has just delivered to its customer in Oman a 3.5 m diameter antenna designed and manufactured in Wroclaw, which enables contact with satellites using the UHF and S bands.
The station is located in the Omani desert near the coast, so it was necessary to protect it from both sand and the highly saline sea breeze. Protection against harsh weather conditions is provided by a dome, also developed by SatRev engineers.
A modern solution for the space industry
The solution developed by the Wroclaw-based company features a modular architecture that allows for flexible scaling, both in terms of hardware, e.g., adding additional antennas or communication bands, and services, which enables integration with new satellite platforms, AI systems, and data analysis tools.
As a result, the station can be quickly adapted to serve multiple customers and constellations, both commercial and government. This project is another step in SatRev's strategy to provide complete, sovereign space capabilities.
This station is not just infrastructure. It is a key that opens the door to the entire GCC region. For our partners and investors, it is a clear signal that SatRev is ready to scale globally, here and now.
Grzegorz Zwoliński, CEO of SatRev
According to January Ciszewski, CEO of JRH ASI S.A., an investor supporting SatRev's development, the construction of this station is an example of how Polish companies can take the initiative in areas critical to the future – from space technology to strategic infrastructure.
Data sovereignty, operational independence, and fast access to information are becoming the foundation of security and development today.

From Wroclaw to orbit
The 1U–6U class nanosatellites developed in SatRev's laboratories are small but technologically advanced devices used for Earth observation, environmental monitoring, and scientific research. These types of devices enable rapid innovation and significantly lower operating costs compared to traditional space missions.
Since 2021, SatRev has successfully launched several satellites into orbit in cooperation with international partners and research institutions. Devices manufactured in Poland are sent into space thanks to cooperation with companies such as Virgin Orbit, as well as European and international research and development programs.
Setting course for the stock exchange
This year is a turning point for SatRev. The company has announced a merger with ECL S.A., an IT and technology investment company. This will enable it to enter the capital market.
The debut on the NewConnect market, planned for the second half of 2025, is expected to accelerate the development of space projects, increase investment opportunities, and ensure greater recognition among investors and technology partners. This should allow for the creation of a strong competence center in the field of modern space technologies in Poland.
Wroclaw roots and global ambitions
SatRev operates from Wroclaw, taking advantage of the local scientific and technical infrastructure and cooperating with, among others, the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. It is here that new concepts for nanosatellites are developed and research and testing of satellite mission management systems are conducted.
In 2017, the company was named one of the 30 Creative Companies of Wroclaw in the Business category.
